  1. If you are in a position of strength then you may be able to demand, but Puel isn't at present. I suspect he knew the constraints when he came here.
  2. if that was said it was odd. Sadly I think last seasons drubbing in the quarter final has left its scars and many (including myself) are fearing the worst. In the draw I wanted anyone but Liverpool as if we were to lose that would be the one that hurts most. Having those Scoucers rubbing it in and the smirks of Lallana and lovren will be hard to bear. Football is a funny game and we may make a surprise of course, let's hope so.
  3. I have a real dislike of Reed wven though I have never met him! I assume he is well in with the owner as he is bringing home the bacon while at the same keeping a lot of the fans on board.
  4. im not against Puel but as per us selling the quality players all the time is now Les going for a crackpot idea of squad rotation every game every season? To my mind he believes he is some kind of guru and we are watching his mad cap ideas being played out. Considering the way we are being run anything above 10th is fine, but not what I had wanted
  5. I sent you a lol an earlier post today and I meant it
  6. I do hope he keeps that up
  7. Whilst I understand your sentiments I don't think you can point at a football fan and make quotes by Martin Luther King. Its 22 men kicking a ball of air around, not fighting racism.
  8. watching West Ham last night, I thought I do hope we are not humiliated on national TV like last season!!! I do hope the Nivea man doesn't come and rub our nose in it. Football often surprises but over 2 legs may be asking a lot
  9. I dont know whether that is right, but they knew each other didn't they?
  10. I don't blame Puel, he probably knew that if he said he was happy with the squad it woud make him a favourable candidate for the job. I blame (as always)the complacency Reed and co had. Anyway after reading what Reed said an extra game is not a problem as the players run 13km a game and so we need squad rotation, its of course oh so different nowadays where clubs rotate their squad every game, where clubs like Chelsea (Leicester last) are foolish in keeping to the same each game
  11. they could wheel out Black but we probably wouldn't be able to understand him either
  12. Leicester winning at Everton
  13. Bloody predictive text Iassume you meant Tadic
  14. Lol
  15. Perhaps you could go back to the poster you implied had made it up though and apologise
  16. It cant be true as the posters on here said it was never said, must be the BBC making it up lol.
  17. what is it then? It is a burning will to win IMO. Not everybody is a hold it back and say nothing individual.
  18. you go first
  19. In many ways your sarcastic post is indeed correct. He had the remit of Marcus to follow out their plan and was doing so.
  20. Ive read the article and agree with a lot he says, but he has dropped his expectations and giving the fans a drop in theirs as well. Perhaps in 2 seasons time he will say 'It’s really important that we think long term so that we are still competing at 13th 14th and 15th in the league' and of course fans will say that's fine we are only a small club. Once Villa and Newcastle come back up they will be re energised and will invest to push us down further, as again we dilute our squad with players not qute up to speed in the PL
  21. we complain that players don't have passion and then when they show it ,that is bad.
  22. well as we keep selling our best players eventually thats what we will get. The players are not better when they are gone but have better around them, funnily enough a lot of the good players belonged to us in the first place. You go on defending the club selling the jewels with no questions asked.
  23. I was talking to a friend last night about how decent Wanyama is in the Spurs team, and perhaps as he is now around better players who do something when he passes to them it helps and the same will go for Redmond once weve got our big profit on him
  24. Well perhaps people from the outside looking in have not such a negative view of him. I think we are a better side with him in the team
