I think MP was the one pushing for Osvaldo. It is amazing how NC gets all the greif but people forget the Liebherrs never knew of us until he put the investment opportunity under ML's nose
-
yep it must be Cortese, he is still putting the prices up year on year and still not providing the quality. It is not impossible to get custom back if you get the product right. Those people would know that Cotese had left, and it is difficult to get a tray of drinks up from Oxford St at half time when entertaining clients. If you really are entertaining yuor business clients they will want luxury of a box , easy access to food and drink, so I doubt they are not going due to Cortese but basically the club are charging too much

I would suggest the VVD would be a greater loss, as he will improve as a player and his value increase greatly. Fonte would be a massive loss but this time next year his value will drop dramatically.

Oh ok, I was surprised at the original quote

Yesterday in the press Lovren and wife were mentioned and it said that Lovren was earning 16k per week. Considering we have been told that the players leave for massive wages (in football terms) perhaps we are not paying high wages as I had assumed he would have been on 20-30k at Liverpool

16k aweek! I thought he left for massive wages (in football terms)

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
OldNick replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
to be fair any attack by Western forces on ISIS would be seen by them as terrorist. The Germans called Bomber Command terrorists -
I assume the other 87 clubs have it wrong or cant afford natural grass. There must be a reason why the others use other than natural, we might see come January when it is a mud bowl. They have the best natural grass on the South Coast, and in the top 5 in England. Will they do a commemorative dvd about it?

Im sure you have all seen this but I remeber wandering around the Dell on the day watching the reseves and not believing it as the goals were announced over the tannoy.

Miss Moneypenny?

he would be a great signing who could rekindle his career with us. Sadly I expect his wages would be too much

A true hero. If he was with us now he would be gone already. The club would have sold my childhood hero. Not the clubs fault as he would have an agent who would have had Busby getting him to agitate so that Big Ron moved to them. I feel sorry for the young fans now who see their heors sold year in year out. I cant see many players of todays generation having the same affection from the fans in generations. RL is the closest I would have thought.

That's not the Few, theres no drums, bells, or young boys

I might go to see that. It was on the small screen at the Odeon Salisbury and so chose to watch Bourne instead.
-
good one
-
Went and watched it last night. Usual stuff, a bit of a cross between Enemy of the State and all the others in the series. If you like car chaes then you will love it. It amazes me that nobody gets prosecuted for death by reckless driving lol

Watching Pompey fans Read is funnier

was Pied the one complaining about us giving a derisory offer?

but it was her own loss making club. If you buy a property that is a wreck and do it up it is still yours and you have enhanced your property. You dont go and sell the front door to get your money back. It is an asset that is convenient to place 30m( I cant recall what the loan was) into so that it provides interest or dividends. Just another arm of her investments. As it is a football club that we all have invested in we give the owners more slack than if it was a high street store.

As much as I dislike the runt I would swap lallana for Tadic
-
but as she owns the club she is lending herself the money.I didnt notice her selling the club to anybody.
-
She has loaned to her own business, has she not? I would be amazed if she was not drawing interest on that money and as she is a billionaire leaving a small amount (to her) and it is working is clever business. The club has become even wealthier this season, our costs have not gone up as much and we have lost over the last 3 years the majority of our highest wage earners. The unknowns who arrived would most probably been on lower salaries until they proved themselves.

Im sure i read somewhile ago that he wanted to finish his career in Portugal. Funny that there were rumours of him going to Cardiff a season or so ago. I cant recall too many complaints then and as for Simon Jordan(?) scoffing that we had paid far too much for him
