All those who think Welbeck would have been a cra# signing may have second thoughts now
-
I wonder if Clynes attitude when he played for England's under 21(?) did not go down well. I do recall his tweet of 'get me out of here'

Found the donate button for larger amounts now

Sepp Blatter considers "review of decsions"
OldNick replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
I still don't believe that replays always get the right decision. You only have to watch MoTD and you get different opinions of its a penalty. -
I think it is pathetic how our politicians are now looking to be begging for them to stay. I feel the Scottish people have their choice and seeing our representatives basically on their knees begging is cringeworthy. We will have toget used to a socialist nation on our borders
-
apparently we had agreed terms with Spurs and Liverpool re selling him but pulled out when the MS is not going statement came out. The news did surprise me as i am sceptical that he would pass a medical. Iam 100% confident of the source of this, as he has regular contact.

Southampton whiz Harrison Reed gets senior England chance
OldNick replied to Bermuda Saint's topic in The Saints
Why is it good news that Reed is with the England squad? To be around a group of overpaid egos who will be ex telling him the virtues of playing at a 'big club' can't be good for our club. Hodgson hardly has a track record of telling our players to stay at the club. No doubt he would be giving him Rodgers phone number -
Let them go, I still can't see why the Tories want to keep them, if they break away Labour will not get into power for years as they will lose so many Scottish labour. MPs
-
Luke Shaw is potentially the best left back the country has produced. Saints have done the groundwork, Utd now have to refine him more. Whether they have the tools to do it only time will tell. Since the golden generation of Becks etc they have failed miserably, considering the potential they have bought in the last ten years
-
i would thought. MLT would have been able to get him some publicity on Skysports
-
It is a fabulous gesture by him. I have volunteered to do a ice bucket challenge today. All money will go to FB' s run.
-
The unfortunate thing is that if he is not as good as he was before the injury will have him here for a long time, if he is back to his best he will leave. I hope he returns to his best but we then expect to see him leave to Spurs if MP is still there.

Top post. That is a very good assessment. Wes Tender put up a medical term/condition for CB's aggressive replies. It is a shame because behind the rants and unpleasantness he seems very decent and bright. When I have got him to reply in a more measured way he is a very good poster, but then he lapses back to the unpleasant rants. There are some very mixed up people on here, I suppose that is the internet for you.

surely it should only be for charitable causes? What about the VAT implications...I know they dont pay it
-
That is amusing. So a Pompey fixture is still a cup final day, but not for the opposition lol
-
All fair assumptions/opinions but we will never know if Lovren had been still here if he would have sulked. Funny how Boruc seems to become more realistic now the window has closed. I look at these things from a different prospective than some others who have posted above, who is right it is difficult to tell, they wont change their minds on what I say and vice versa.

as you mention yourself, it wasnt as Koeman was expecting and so given the choice? Iam not unduly upset at some of the players leaving as we got good prices. It was the way it was handled. Some dont see it that way, and Im fine with that, but i do not class them as some kinds of messiahs because they didnt moan as the club sold and took the money in
-
yep of course he wanted the rest gone as well.
-
Tony Fernadez said the other day he often goes onto the QPR forums as it gives him a feel how the fans feel
-
'Even if we buy eight players for £80m it's still a monumental f uck up. Because buying eight players for eighty million in one window is the kind of retarded thing that QPR does. Just a slung together team of complete strangers. ' Your post 28/07/14 Not making it up, CB If you believe that the fans unrest did not stop the club selling MS, if not why did all of a sudden did Ralf come out and guarantee he would not be sold?
-
yep i did, on many occasions. I assume you are not getting on your high horse about the word abuse and trying to put it in the Rotherham context lol. I assume the Morgans heads gone thread should be deleted if so I used the word abuse as in trust, many of us follow the club and would still support it even if the whole team was sold. That can and has been cynically used for the whole time football fans have followed their team. IIRC Freddie Sheperd(?) bragged about paying a fiver for shirts and then getting 35 for them?

Talking Tactics: Koeman gives Saints fans reasons to be cheerful
OldNick replied to pap's topic in The Saints
The best teams keep to their beliefs of playing football to the final whistle. That's why the great Liverpool and Manchester Utd team were so successful. If your football is creative and your players good enough you should overcome if you keep to your beliefs. The plan B route is just desperation. Do clubs practice plan. B's in training, eg let's just hoof the ball into the box?
