  1. I thought we beat Blackpool at home?
  2. do you think that they will have a full house and all that it brings if they play most other clubs?? Bumper pay-days have kept them alive for this long, i can live quite happily if we never have to play them again, but i suppose im not a bragger who needs to be able to lord it over them. Im happy with the quiet smugness that they are down in the depths and they are looking up with fury and envy.Give them nothing to soothe their pain
  3. nail on head. We seem to have quite a unique squad who have a brilliant mentality, who want to learn.
  4. pompey would love to play us. Just think of the revenue they would get in. Let them fade away ,big pay days keep them alive.
  5. she wouldnt be able to sell it so may as well give it for free
  6. that is very good

    Pistorius

makes you wonder if the procecution didnt try too hard to get a conviction. An amateur lawyer would have done better
  8. They are going to be sponsored by After Eight
  9. Fair point, if they are not playing the game i understand your frustration. It would be interesting what Weston comes up for you
  10. 'want a war' is always a good place to start a boundary parking dispute!!!Especially when the other side dont live in the road and so can be a nuisance when they like. I maybe well off the mark and dont know Westons advice but i would think he has the right contacts who can get things done. Not having a go at you Jeff but seeing how you conduct yourself on here with the point scoring, i suggest diplomacy is not your strong point. I do understand your frustration but it seems to me they have the whiphand. On another note i think you need to clear this up amicably as when you try to sell your house in the future you will have to mention if you have had any boundary disputes. Yours will cost you buyers as well as money
  11. Yep but of course they would be blocking someone in. I wonder if Weston. Is putting you on the route to clear this up. I don't think you will get anywhere as u are now
  12. Have you been a bit annoying to them when you first had the problem? Eg your attitude when you first mentioned it to them? if so they may just be teaching you a lesson. If not and they are Masons then you may have a problem. Weston's help may be fruitful

    Ebola

If the nutters are prepared to strap bombs to their backs what stops them intentionally contracting the disease and then spreading it around the world?
  14. i would think that the Acadamy must be the year on year progression of many years. Reed is having the reflected glory, I recall being a guest of Huw Jennings to an away to Coventry (I think it was PAhars first game) on the journey he was expelling the same philosophy of the Acadamy as it is now. Bigger investment now of course but the early vision was there even then.
  15. I think they are. It s like comparing Ian Dowiewith MLT. When Reed has been at the club and achieved what Tb did then you might be able to compare them. 7 games don't make a summer and I put the success of the team down to Koeman. The Acadamy success can be placed more at Reeds door though. As for all the minute detail I was under the impression that it was Cortese who that was down to, I recall an article last season about how special mattresses etc were taken to away games etc
  16. if you want to look at some stones then fine, i drive past it at least twice a week and it does nothing for me. The other day there were 2 middle aged people sitting on the hardshoulder of the A303 crosslegged with their eyes closed and trying to get something spiritual from it.Lucky they didnt get a juggernaught take them out!
  17. Go to Gold Hill in Shaftesbury, a must visit in my opinion, just do a drive by of Stonehenge
  18. No talk of players being carried off on the fans shoulders, and glorious speeches made on the battlefield of Frattton by the News then?
  19. how many players can the top 4 keep buying to give all these wantaways CL football? CL is an excuse, the real reason they want away is for money, the club and CL follows IMO. Jrod will not be here,I think we all feel that MS will be gone as well. Wanyama and Clyne will also be on clubs wishlists. Koeman is used to this turnover from his Holland football experience and may well be able to cope. At present all loooks fine and dandy but we have only played 7 games, of which only 2 have been top teams. Lets hope we stay a force for the rest of the season
  20. MS has stated that his transfer was pulled due to the fans being very unhappy. The 10m was derisory i do agree, but isnt the first offer always low or do you go in with your top price straight away? i think Liverpool tried the same with AL and Lovren
  21. but it does show that the club was in turmoil and that made them act in stopping the move. NOT fans on Saintsweb or forums but fans phoning the club and making their views known. Whether the club monitors peoples opinions on the internet I dont know but there is a chance they might. MS was in the middle of it and he confirms that he was to go until the #hit hit the fan. It does not mean that some can now say they were right and make threads about it. Some will dress it up as false and try and shout people down with their scorn, and call them childish schoolyard names, but the main readers on here who are bright enough to see the balance of the debate, may well agree that MS was going to be sold until the club was bombarded with complaint. it was going to be a massive own goal. Personally i dont care what caused the backtrack but thankfully it came to pass and we have MS for somewhile yet.
  22. amazing how many parachute payments came their way. Very fortunate indeed that they were extended and increased at various stages
  23. at the end of the day they need to be applauded for not overspending again. I was surprised that their turnover was as much as 6m and matchday at 3.35m. With revenues like that they will be able to dominate L2. After all, as West Ham co-chairman David Gold so pompously tweeted to Pompey fan @harrisondunks14: ‘Fans running a club doesn’t work. They sit down at a meeting with a plan to design a horse and end up with a camel’. I suggest they wont get camels but donkeys
  24. being available was a stroke of luck. The same bit of luck that Cortese had when MP was free and willing to join us. I think that the current regime made a superb choice, and so I am happy to give them credit for that.
  25. CB is still smarting from being torn to pieces by SaintBletch.
