I remember a Friday night game against Liverpool? Where Danny Wallace scored with an overhead kick.
-
All keepers concede at the near post. Boruc does BAnks did, Shilton did, the Bayern keeper has. The fans on here magnify the problem as patently most have never had a ball come at them at speed and deflected or so close to their legs that sometimes they can't react quick enough. My gripe with FF is that with his height and size he should dominate the area and also be quick off his line to clear a through ball
-
do you think Ings would come here to sit on the bench? He's not Lallana you know
-
I was not brought up in a council house, but know like in general society that 99% of those people are decent and hardworking people
-
hey don't get too upset, the thought that Koeman jobs is at risk is quite off the wall. He is the reason we have done so well, as he took a decimated squad and gelled them instantly. A comment like yours was always going to get flak, so don't take it too personally
-
there is no danger of Koeman being sacked, the danger is his frustration of the thinness of the squad.Hopefully the board back him in the transfer market. Hopefully they match his ambition, some on here may be happy with second best but I doubt Koeman will be. I don't wish for us to pay stupid money for knee jerk signings but we are pathetically weak with options. We were promised that the money in would be spent on the squad and so it is not unreasonable to expect some players in.
-
I want fans from all over the world to support us, it would mean we have won things. My experience shows me that in the main Man U fans are the type who have to support a winning team as they need to be able to brag. they are mentally weak
-
I notice Rodgers is blaming the ref lol. If you see the incident Markovic looked back to see where the player was and then threw his arm in his direction.Definite intent to hurt IMO
-
They would go to Fantasy Island and lose
-
IMO CL football or playing for Liverpool was secondary.for AL and Lovren, it was all about the extra ££££££££££££££. The warm feeling of the fans adoring you and singing your name will be just nostalgia for Those 2 now, I do wonder if the £s will be worth it as they would be very rich even if they hadn't moved

No the biggest issue is that the keeper who must have a stretch close to 9 feet didnt come a pluck the ball out of the air, it was a floated ball, not one of pace and the defence had kept a high line leaving plenty of space for FF to come and catch, period
-
Perhaps if they had not had the Man U badge on their chests the players may have had a little more belief. As a fan i was thinking they will start playing well, but they didnt we just gifted them the result. A long floated free kick that ended 4-5 yards out should be simple for any keeper to collect
-
Lets hope the fans do not turn on FF. I hope RK has a word with our goalkeeping coach and spends a week on FF dealing with positioning to sweep a long ball. His starting position is far too deep. Apart from that decision making FF is a decent keeper
-
As per our corners , one thing I don't understand is that there is nobody at the back post if the ball is flicked on.We all seem to be at the front or middle of the goal
-
ok thanks, I make some accusations about our performances but not that untrue
-
im not sure Boruc would have stopped the first
-
I never said we were abysmal,we should have put them to the sword.
-
no manager would say such things but he picked out Long for his misses, which did surprise me, he also intimated about FF. Unfortunately there is a pattern to the lack of commanding the area or sweeping through balls from our keeper. Is there an embargo on giving honest opinions on here?
-
personally it is frustration that we should have won at a canter
-
I would rather him come on when the opposition are tiring.Perhaps take Pelle off and then put Long up the middle with Mane pace on the break, especially in away games.
-
so you are saying you have seen It'd put in worst performances at our place before, that we didn't end up with 2 headless chickens up front , that our 12 m forward has trouble scoring and our keeper doesn't come for balls? Even Koeman said Long missed and that he intimated that FF was at fault. No drama there just fair assessment. You should wake in the morning and see the truth. We are all frustrated as we messed up, and missed a great opportunity. I have to face a load of patronising Man U fans this week telling me how unlucky we were etc, but laughing up their sleeves as they do
-
very true points
-
I think you should keep to your posts calling ' all men vile '
-
the truth hurts and so you throw childish insults. The performance Man U did tonight was the worst I have seen, and I saw them in their relegation season. It's all very easy to say we're 5th blah blah blah, but it was about tonight. A team in 5 th should have beaten that poor Utd side.
