  1. well i cant see how you can guage it then. If you just want to believe we are stronger then that's fine.
  2. yep, give the board the get out of jail card.
  3. i would still love lovren to be here, but if he fails miserably at Liverpool i will not be sad
  4. I dont think you can let the board get away with their misleading promises, if that does come to pass. It is obvious that i have never trusted the new board and so a little bias comes in my post. IF MS goes (or anyone else really) then Krueger has done the fans a disservice. He came out and made some massive statements and as far as iam concerned should keep to them
  5. apparently Krueger said we will be stronger at the end of the window as we were when it opened. So its 7th or better this season then. Who's going to put money on that?
  6. yep, I watched some, but it was cringeworthy how salmond walked to the front and was using his trained body language. he looked so awkward, but he did fluster Darling. Darling made the mistake af saying that Scotland could keep the pound. If they didnt have the oil, there would be no contest. i dont know how it would effect England if they become independant. Personally the Scots have been an asset to the UK as great allies. If they leave i hope they sink.
  7. Let's hope we keep Victor as well

    Pelle

    exactly,
  9. Ah but it said Townsend was very upset being left out of the 18man squad. He will be squeezed out if they can trump up a deal.
  10. Welbeck linked with Everton, I assume Matinez has not looked on here to see a proper run down on his ability lol
  11. I get your point, I haven't heard of the unrealistic targets a couple of weeks ago! That is a reflection of my lack of World football, but I would prefer us to go for British targets
  12. Is it right that we are flying this man back at enormous cost and an unknown health risk? This man took it on himself and without any second thought recklessly put himself at risk. Yes it was a very human gesture, but surely he should have gone through an official agency. The financial cost to our nation as well as putting others health at risk is irresponsible IMO. Where will it end? any other. British national who gets the virus will expect the same I assume
  13. :smug::smug: don't worry. I have a subscription of the Portsmouth News just to read the deaths column
  14. I've read that nonsense before, if you have a brain and personality (when I say 'you' I mean in general) it does effect you however much you earn. Nobody wants not to be liked and criticism hurts. It is bravado to say it doesn't
  15. Fuller and Crouch were also given a tough time by the morons. It also came at a time when the fans felt cheated by not replacing top players leaving with unknown or lesser quality
  16. jay rod has been talking about going to Spurs for a long time, before the season finished. That is according to someone who is doing work for him
  17. I agree Pelle needs time, and the morons who make a quick judgement on him need to give him some space
  18. I was talking about under MP , I have not seen or heard of our new style of play
  19. The atmosphere was bound to be poor. In the main the fans are p####d off and it is hard to be upbeat about playing WBA
  20. That's a shame, if inMay we were told on here you could have Long for 16m or Welbeck for 15 m I doubt many would have voted for Long. It is madness, we could have tied him in on the Shaw deal.
  21. I al ways find the Plan B thing a nonsense. The 3 best teams in my lifetime who were successful played the same way until the final whistle. don Revies. Leeds, Liverpool in the 80s and Man Utd. They believed in their system and kept going until the final whistle, hence their late goals to win matches. MP played a fantastic system for us, but needed some more personnel to just make us that little better
  22. The catalyst of this was NC leaving. I seem to recall he was unsettled quite sometime before there was talk of not being given investment and so may have served his notice. Of course this is only my view and I have no proof. that event started the rest of the dominoes to fall. The players rightly or wrongly went with the dream and were on board. We were only 2or 3 players from being a really good side. As for players leaving, yes I think some still would have gone eg Shaw. RL may have also but his obvious love of our club would still made him think twice, even though it is Liverpool. He was at the early part of our rise back and perhaps may have liked to been there for even more. Many of the posters n here may dislike Cortese but MP and the majority of the squad did and they bought into the way we were going . Watch Spurs playing their good passing football yesterday did make me regret how things have panned out, it should still be us playing that game good on the eye
  23. Watching Spurs yesterday ,you can see them developing already. MS will still want to be a part of it IMO.
  24. not always. Football is opinions and so different people rate different players. If they are wearing a Saints shirt. I won't boo them.
