    The Budget

the taxes on wine spirits and cigs were not made yesterday.
  2. Glory hunter Lol. have you been playing much as you were a major star last season?
  3. your fantasies LetsB
  4. A forward as prolific as him obviously knows when to move and when not to. LB runs the whole friggin time but is less effective.
  5. I'm surprised you are so blinkered about RL. he does a lot more than the majority of the team, but most miss it.
  6. Im glad you spelt nobbled right i came over all queer reading that at first
  7. i assume the BP one off the shores of America
  8. You know Im with you regarding |BH, but this lad may be decent and I dont need the fix of a known player, but just somebody who can see a pass and make us tick.
  9. Was it outside a petrol station or gasworks, lol
  10. Hey Derry dont let it wind you up. BH is a missed opportunity, it is not the player coming in fault.Give him a chance if he signs and let the resentment fade.
  11. to be fair the blokes waited for him outside and he gave one of them a hiding. Perhaps warrented
  12. only 1 ???? and lock the thread IMO
  13. Thanks for that FF. i do know it made its mark on my dad as he mentioned it a few times. I suspect it carries the same scars as Highbury 84 does for me, and a later generation the feeling at Pride park a few years back
  14. what a non surprise, hope the parcel has TNT in it
  15. we have to accept it, annoying as it is otherwise we will sound like the bloody Bompey fans who are still whining about non penalty decisions from both games lol
  16. i was all for it , but there seems to me a genuine reticence to get anyone in. I truly believe if ML was alive he would have spent in Jan to make sure his 5 year plan was still on track. I know we are in the minority but that does not mean we are wrong. If we fail this season ,all those who are complacent will moan when all the best players leave
  17. i wasnt necessarily thinking of RL although that would be a disaster. I have been banging on about getting a couple of players in to strengthen the side in both the forward and midfield areas. We dont know the extent of AL or Ox's injuries but with the side lacking something extra in CM and add to the chance of losing one of our starlets it is essential to get a player/players in by deadline day. We have no other chance ofter then
  18. thats right, my father used to give the chant. Brought back memories of my father, thanks OSM
  19. it is just me, i want to have all the odds stacked in our favour.
  20. Lol, I dont see any evidence of being sent off,it is a figment of your imagination, but the camera caught you looking like a rabbit in the headlights as you didn't know where to stand! it reminded me of the gawky kid at school who only played with his trainset and had no idea what the rules of football were
  21. I think you can add the case that at the time Mullery was playing billy big boots and having a pop at us. i also recall their winger O'sullivan? keep chipping at us. it hardly made us feel warm to them. We did hit the post with Funnels shot. if we had won I think it would have been bedlam as Spurs fans were really fired, remember all the temporary fence ripped up?
  22. My father used to tell me about his hero Charlie Wayman who was our top player in the 50's? We were heading for promotion and were well clear only for Wayman to get injured. i think we didnt win another game and missed out on promotion. I only hope the clubs reticence to strengthen the squad does not come back and haunt us. Of course we may sign a couple today but I believe our arrogance that we will make second will do us harm
  23. i believe is that they play decent football and have the players with guile to win games
  24. I didnt go and so can't comment on the game as such. My observations are that Peterboro play good football and can score from all over the pitch, and that makes them dangerous to our hopes. We seem unable to score from open play and so cant get the 2nd goal in games like last night to kill a team. A point away is OK and Charlton however bad form they are in were likely to raise their game.I have called for us to sign some players in the eventuality of injuries suspensions and just to freshen up the squad. Many treated that with scorn, once the loan transfer window closes and the worse happens what then? How did Forte play?
  25. they are close to the play-offs and you just know they are going to ruin the party. If BC had spent a bit in the window they could well have made an easy run to the PL.
