  1. every manager is a dead man walking. I dont think you are a messiah by stating so.
  2. you know after all that, the club are bound to call a press conference for mon at 10 Lol, it's Murphys Law
  3. I have been reading your thoughts Deppo...I have a blank piece of paper in front of me
  4. Geri Halliwell has gone to pot
  5. The picture is one of many that has dogged him (bad phrase perhaps) over the decades. His statement is a s### or bust position. It has left him open for a gay man who has never met him to destroy him and make money in the tabloids at the same time. Strikes me that it was started by a dirty tricks campaign by his political rivals. I would vote for him whether he was gay or not, he is good at his job.
  6. i understand the hilarity re Cash My Gold but those guys have just made millions from the nation by being pretty cute. All honest , and the gullible public have been sending companies gold through the post and buying at keen prices.
  7. isn't there somebodies death you can have a s****** at?
  8. Oh I see, that would be best
  9. Samuel really dislikes us. AP obviously is in his ear, as the text was only delivered to him. I suspect they became chums when AP was manager of Samuels beloved WHU. I really would love them to get into the mire to shut the smug git up
  10. he's from Poole and so thinks we have a rivalry Lol
  11. it is 606, not a statement from a solicitor. it may well be true but even these claims have yet to be clarified
  12. Antonio is injured and out for a time and so I doubt AP would be pushing for his return. If you think about it , AP not getting Papa back was anotehr error.
  13. Well one of AP's last legacy's could be playing Lallana when he still was not 100% ready. It seems he is going to be out for some weeks.I do hope that RL does not fall to the same fate. Many have voiced their concerns that we have nobody to fill his place if he is out as well.
  14. As in all things Pompey it is all a bit unclear. Im not sure if Kitson etc are loans or signings as it was said that Kitson was holding back as he wanted extra money from Stoke
  15. there was a bit of confusion on SSN , as they said Wilson was a loan! No doubt just said it wrong,
  16. With regards to playing squad, as is Football League policy, clubs have to be able to field a team and players may be permitted to be registered to enable this to happen. In Portsmouth’s case they had a number of first year professionals on their books but under League regulations first year professionals do not count towards the requisite number of 20 for a first team squad. In addition Portsmouth had recently sold and loaned out players. Due to their shortage of players (and based on the ’20 man squad’ rule) the League approved loan arrivals at the club (one player has since joined them on loan during the close season – Ibrahima Sonko). however it would be fair to suggest that the releasing and loaning out of players is vital for the club to reduce debt/wage bill so that is something that will always happen in the event of an administration. The League has simply applied the rules voted in by all member clubs and in this instance sanctioned a loan signing to enable the club to meet regulations stating that clubs should have a registered first team squad of 20 players (which they still currently do not have). For the first three league games of the season for example they have had a matchday squad of 15 rather than the maximum 18. We cannot comment on individual incoming player wages but it would fair to suggest that Portsmouth would be applying a ‘Championship structure’ to their squad under the control of the administrators. It is worth stating that The League does not run these member clubs. When a private company suffers an insolvency event or encounters financial problems it falls under the remit of the insolvency law that operates in this country. The League is there to offer advice in relation to our policies and regulations. We are not there to ‘bail clubs out’ or take over the running of the clubs. That is a matter for the owners or, should they be appointed by the court, the administrators.(end) The above are 2 extracts from correspondence from the FL. They have found a way to get around the embargo, clever boy that AA and time and again he has outflanked the opinion on here.
  17. I can't recall Howe slagging us off, in fact before we played them in the League cup he said some very complimentary things about us being a big club and that was grateful that we had helped them out over the years with signings etc.
  18. I understand the ire thrown at NC but you would have thought that the players after last years experience would have been well up for the game. It reminded me of the season after we got to the cup final our lame performance at Bolton in the carling cup, aand Strachan was still our manager.
  19. after taking his lad you'd think Pulis would not help our rivals as much as he does
  20. Howe is a young manager who has something about him. He is a good judge of a player and has brought a few young players through at Bournemouth. He is not likely to get the fans hearts thumping if appointed but he has a steel and coolness about him.His win percentage must be very high
  21. is that 100% correct about Hart coaching the youth and not for the 1st team?
  22. Hart has been treated badly a couple of times, but he is not inspiring at all. Im hoping his name has been thrown out to lower our expectations so we can get someone else in. Wasn't Hart good with the England under 21's or something like that?
  23. At this moment it is not Howe. What is the fuss about Mowbray? God he sends you to sleep, and his PL experience is relegation. Shearer has the respect of many in the game and a big name to get people to look up. As long as he doesnt bring Dowie,Lol Oneill is surely too much of a loose cannon, and wouldn't tow the line. Zola is a gentleman and good to his word. The world of football likes him and would be the good side of SFC showing through again. NC would know that if he gave his word he would keep to it. A rare thing in football , a man of integrity. The christian Gross thing is also interesting.
  24. perhaps not as mad as it first looks. The Swiss connection
  25. MLT was my alltime favourite player with Big Ron. In the last year I have felt some of that has diminished. His revelation about a betting scam, and the Pinnacle disaster has lessened my feelings of his god like status in my eyes. He is still one of my heroes but off the pitch he has been flawed recently. Until we know what has happened we should respect that NC is doing the best for the club
