  1. I tried to get as many as I could before being cut off.Boggy, DD, Exit, Le God, Perenial, MrX, I was going to end with Always Saints but Peter Hood cut me off for Jans interview
  2. I thought it was you....kidding DD. I might give it a call and try and drop a few of the user names on here.
  3. imagine you played for Burnley (but a Saints fan)and whilst the fans adored you Fulham came in for you. They offered you the chance of PL football and wages, the so called glamour of being a PL player, and the chance to come back South. You had that choice or seeing a season of toil and unrest, playing with a lot of kids who were learning the game and already in the bottom 3 and the club looking to ask the higher earners to take a pay cut. What in your hearts would your choice be.I doubt if all of us were honest we'd want to leave. That is how I see AD's choice.
  4. A lot of myths that were brought about by disinchanted fans and then blown up. It would interesting to know who these people were who were there. As we know directors etc do read this board and make it theior business to check. The fitness thing is another nonsense as the players use Pro Zone and that did not show up the evidence you thought you saw. Are you saying the youngsters are not fit as they have let in 2 late goals in recent games? As for the last 3 months, the results compare favourably to the period NP was in charge.
  5. Andrew Davies played 23 times in the CCC in those games we won only 4 drew 10 and lost 9 including at least 1 5 goal drubbing. Now if you were looking to buy a centre half and tried to value him I doubt those figures would get you all sweaty with excitement. I dont know if RL understands football or not but I think its fair to say he does know how to get a good price for a footballer. The fee was undisclosed and so we are not sure what we received.Add to that Davies has just had a knee operation and not at this time fit (we know what knee operations do if they dont heal correctly) Therefore to get money in for a player who may still be out for months is OK business. Now if he had played and was fit I'd understand the fretting but as with Killer we waited and waited and waited for his return and that cost us dear. We have the money and that keeps us afloat a bit longer.
  6. ahhhh I see
  7. if we can sell him fine. To loan him out and him sense the fans are jubilant does us no favours if he comes back disillusioned by not being wanted.
  8. how do you know? we may have someone in the reserves to do a similar job
  9. but how can he be uncontroversial as you keep telling us he was a drunk. What about McLeish, Irvine, Davis, and there are others
  10. That is fair comment.
  11. Unfortunately you do not at times have the mental capacity to see. Go to the squad list to when he arrived and then strip it of over 20 players who wrre failing or on high wages and so had to be got rid of.This was part of GB's remit when RL employed him. Lowe could see we needed to trim the costs but of course you went on a long campaign of getting rid of the financial sense and went big time for the obvious nonsense of the Wilde bunch. Now after you strip a squad of 20 + players, that leaves holes and so GB had to replace some positions. Now some of those purchases were of players who you whine about not playing now, ironic eh. Add to his success under those transistional teams of getting us to the playoffs and turning players forgotten in the reserves or said to be no good into multi million pound sales. I didnt panic when the team had been dismotivated by losing 3 of the star players and was heading for mid table. Only when G&D were appointed as you were warned did we plummet. So overall he was a success, you may also add the fact in the last week you have been proclaiming how sad it is selling players 1 was bought by GB the other brought into the team by him.
  12. Well you may think he was poor but people away from our club, people who looked in from outside of the panic and hysteria assessed that he did in fact do an ok job and so offer him an International post. That is a fact (International post) They saw what was going on and that everytime it looked as though we had a team the players were sold. This is always morale sapping and even WGS had enough of it when he was here. You may have your opinion but it is not fact. ps I think we have done GB to death so how about just accepting we both have differing views and leave it there, the same as GB has.
  13. Its impossible to rationally give an answer to that in one word. Yes would be my answer in the main as my answer would not be no as I tske into account circumstances. NP would be the same in my book while G&g would be a definate No, of course some fans didnt wish to listen when they were told it would be them if GB was sent packing. 'Anyone but Burley' FFS
  14. Thats if it is a loan and not a loan with option to buy of course.
  15. How can use an opinion as fact? It is a case that you both believe that GB was no good , but it is not the fact and if you stood back and saw it from a neutrals point you would perhaps think that the manager went from CCC to International management and so was a success. So do not make such sweeping statements as fact, as that is what upsets people.
  16. BWP is still young, why do we get these mad threads. We may need BWP to save our skins in a few months time.He will get better and then we may regret losing him.
  17. Well I was there and he was so poor it was laughable. Perry turned to make a pss back but BB had come to the edge of the area, and ball went past him and he had to kick it away before it went in.He took a straightforward catrch and then dropped it ,it went between his legs and then he had to dive back on it before the forwarde got to it. He made a flying catch of the most dramatic style when it was just a simple take.A shot came at him at just above head height and it slipped from his hands went behind him but fortunately it went more sideways not direct into the goal. There were more,as for being a keeper who comes out at set pieces that is folklore, he was stuck on his line 3 times when a cross came over inside the 6yard box and it was scrambled away. All in all he needs to regain his confidence and stop spilling the ball. Its not his time yet,
  18. No but you try to make divisions when there are patently not any. As LC and now RL have assured the bank,if a fair offer omes in the player must go. Nothing is sacred in the current situation, until you accept the fact you are either going to get abuse from people who face up to the facts or you will get high blood pressure working yourself up.
  19. you are indeed correct in the years but it was against Norwich.
  20. It was but I thought Id keep you guessing. Will be back this afternoon with the correct date
  21. Scooby is amusing.
  22. For all thise who are still fretting about the event, I have the event on an attachment forwarded by Gary Chalk from Tim Manns. I couldnt open it up as my MicrosoftWord??? is not up to date. I can tell you that The RAF DOG TEAM did a display at the Dell against Birmingham at the Dell in 1973. I will be back to you with the answer as soon as possible
  23. Arizona I dont know if you have seen BB play recently, but his confidence is shot.Hes a bag of nerves
  24. Robert Fripp (King Crimson) he is nothing like a rock star.I supose as he is in his 50's makes a difference. The woman from Cuckoo Waltz and in Doctors, met her at a party and all she did was talk about her bed.A very smart looking lady in her day and still keeps herself together for the older man. Charlene Spitari (Texas )came into my business and I didnt recognise her.She was really nice and friendly and I didnt realise it was her to some time later.Ive sold things to Madonna and hubby but did not meet her but did go to her estate between Salisbury and Blandford. Danny la Rue was another. Lee Bradbury bt I odnt think he counts
