Aston Villa 6 - 2 Saints I can hear the outrage melting Saints Forum already!
-
It sometimes happens that when a team is mathematically relegated that individual players become more relaxed, and can play with greater freedom and determination. The fear of relegation is past now. They have future careers and contracts to negotiate after all. So beware, Saints, of approaching this game as easy. It won't be.
-
We have to win this. They walked right through us in the first match of the season when our squad was still not gelling. It was painful to watch.
-
Winchester's Warren Bentley has scored more goals (41) this season than Vardy and Kane combined. Could this ex Saints Academy player make it in the Football League - perhaps with one of the clubs that borrow our talent?, or even us? After all, it has been done before
-
1-1 for me, considering how tight both teams can defend. But I suspect there will be one moment of genius that could win it for either team.
-
But Forster acquitted himself well. And just as when he returned after injury at Saints, the England defence became more assured and confident. He could not be faulted for Germany's second goal.
-
Poch has been successful because his players are trained from pre-season to be the fittest. He would not have that advantage as England manager.
-
Rooney will just have to up his game and compete. He is not top dog anymore.
-
All things considered that wasn't too bad. I thought the atmosphere in the stadium during our League 1 spell was pretty good, especially heading towards promotion.
-
Was that similar to us when were in League 1, and before relegation in the Championship?
-
Why? This is about Kelvin, and whoever he invites to celebrate his retirement is up to him. I do hope that you (if you might) and others with small-minded grudges (for whatever reason) against ex-saints players who were Kelvin's team mates do not spoil the occasion.

Well if the choice is to most dislike other clubs above us or Leicester, it is good to see them annoying Arse, Spuds, the Mans and scousers. Next year will be different though.
-
He left Saints too early for his own good. He would have developed unto a better footballer here than under Wenger's tutelage, and been fitter. If he returned this could continue, but I doubt that his heart is with a return. He might consider this a sideways move.

Did we once put in a bid for Huth?

The briefs must be extraordinarily tight too. -
How many have actually stated that he should be re-signed?

The Brexit answer would be to renegotiate better terms for Ronald to return

Any stats for player/club achievement per income? Individual Saints players don't seem to figure so much in top Premier stats this season, yet we are currently seventh, which proves that as a cohesive team performing well for each other we have been doing better than clubs with expensive individuals, Chelsea for example. So like Leicester this season, this suggests that it is teamwork and good management that counts more than buying expensive players. Can we maintain this next season? As the OP says, it is going to be a very important summer. Lets hope RK signs a contract extension.

Lovren has peaked, so it's between Ald and Van Dijk. For me, the latter is improving so fast and has so much more to offer, including leadership, he get's my vote
