  1. Its obvious away fans are going to outsing home support. Chelsea and the once raucous Anfield, to name but 2, were both sterile and devoid of atmosphere this season and with s/t prices only going one way its not going to change. West Brom 's away support is a million miles away from that of the Hawthorns.
  2. He's one of the good guys and a good team man.
  3. Wonderful news. Nobody thought 3 years ago that a lower league journeyman would have the impact that he's had here. And he's getting better. Well done SFC.
  4. To be honest I usually avoid reading your posts. You come across as a self-important and footbal-ignorant twerp. But hey, we aint all perfect.
  5. Morgan - I think we have found our longterm skipper. Inspirational versus Chelsea and maybe not a coincidence that he was MoM.
  6. Pardew must be smiling - been there, done that and sacked by Cortese.
  7. Awful awful decision and horrible timing just when we are starting to look a decent team. Team morale will now be rock bottom, and it could take some time to repair the damage - just after one of our most impressive results. I will not attend the Everton game in order to show allegiance to Nigel.
  8. Absolutely it was a shove by RL who was probably fed up with Cahill's arms all over him. Cahill didn't protest which suggests that he'd probably been giving RL the same medicine earlier.
  9. Morgan was majestic and MoM by a country mile - being Captain obviously inspired him. However the entire team were fantastic and played with so much heart that my blocks of ice feet quickly melted with the emotion that the result brought. The Bridge was cold last night, especially for their fans. A special mention for Jos who after a shaky start trying to get to grips with Ba played very well and became our rock on which their attacks floundered. He won some important headers and cleared his lines when it mattered. To those who thought 'our' Terry songs were funny.....they weren't, they were embarrassing and nasty. Otherwise a brilliant night and forget the 'wudda, cudda, shudda' about his tactics .....Nige got his tactics spot-on.
  10. Great story and as you say he didn't have to do that - could easily have averted his eyes, like so many people in a similar situation.
  11. Fox, especially, at the forefront and looking genuinely pleased to be there. Good man.
  12. I too would have preferred to see the likes of Hammond and Harding given a chance in the PL. If the likes of Fonte and Fox were thought to be good enough for the Prem then we should at least have given these two a chance. Show them the door if and when they failed, not beforehand.
  13. How come winless clubs QPR and Reading are out of the spotlight regarding new managers ? McDermott, Hughes and even Lambert must be relieved Adkins is taking all the ****e from the cheap press who as usual are looking for a non-story.
  14. This is the same Fox that you were all bigging up last season ? Fantastic then but useless this season...? Get a grip people.
  15. But isn't that just like any team - quiet at home but the dedicated away fans making all the noise ?
  16. Redknapp, Hoddle , Benitez et al - all yesterday's men.
  17. Positives ? One or two trip off the jolly old keyboard... We are in the Prem. We still have the bright young Manager that we craved for when we were scratching around in L1. We still have the bright young Chairman we craved after the debacle/s of the previous incumbents. We have a team that I still enjoy watching - one that has endured the toughest opening schedule of any promoted team since the PL started. We have an outstanding Academy - one that continues to produce future stars of the game. We are Southampton. Simple really.
  18. Fully agree. I thought we had smarter fans than the other clubs, but sadly mistaken. So Einsteins...who do you want to replace Adkins ? Some joker above has just mentioned Eddie Howe, the same Eddie Howe who left Burnley in a worst position than when he joined and whose ambition is a L1 club. Yep we missed a trick there, eh !
  19. Its nasty - hate it.
  20. Morgan was a colossus, striding around the pitch like a latter day Duncan Edwards. He has found his level in this league.
  21. Green no thank you . The poor bloke looks gormless too, reminds me of that other excuse for a keeper, Roy Carroll.
  22. Dixon was the only one worth listening to, shocked he got the bullet.
  23. We can all breathe a sigh of relief you aren't the manager then. Good luck to Harding, never let us down - particularly enjoyed his goal and celebration up at Leeds when he was booed for the entire game simply for being one of their ex players.
