Hopefully if we beat Norwich the club do the sensible thing and don't give Arsenal the entire Northam.
-
How did this big nosed skate ever end up married to Natalie Sawyer. At least she saw sense eventually and got rid.
-
Away to Norwich would have been a tough tie no matter what sort of season we were having so not going to get too naffed off about it. Hopefully Norwich aren't as greedy over ticket prices for the replay and we get a decent crowd.

As most are aware Blackmore is the Saints commentator for BBC Solent, and crucially this feed is also used when listening to the game through the Official Saints website. I'd imagine it would put him in an awkward position or worse if he were to criticise the club or fuel speculation regarding staff matters..

I would give it to VVD for the remainder of the season, but like 99.9% of people I don't expect him to be here next season so perhaps it'll go to a player we are yet to sign, a senior player likely to be starting week in week out which I can't see from our current squad. Giving it to JWP would mean he starts every game, and nobody wants that. Steven Davis perhaps? One of the senior heads and likely to be here next season? Wouldn't give it to a keeper, I like to see a captain issuing orders and leading out on the field.

Despite the rumours and people's beliefs I'm pretty sure Beattie was wrongly labelled the ringleader against Sturrock, quite certain Luggy said as much himself. I thought it was mentioned somewhere that Jason Dodd was the guilty party.
-
Perhaps Puel could pull a master stroke and switch to 5-3-2 like Koeman did at this point last season which led to an upturn in form. Going to need something special at the back today to keep Lukaku quiet, VVD had him in his pocket a few weeks ago.
-
Wish people would stop making it seem that getting to the league cup semi final is some sort of miraculous achievement by Puel, when the reality is we beat a **** poor Palace side, needed a worldly by Boufal to beat an awful Sunderland, and beat a seriously weakened Arsenal, honestly look at their line up and subs for that match, it was borderline reserve team. 3 games to get to the semis, that's it. Now however we have a serious test against the same team that tore us a new one in this competition last year, and I don't see the result being much different.
-
Each to their own of course, but to suggest Lallana couldn't shoot is moronic. He scored some brilliant goals for us in all manner of positions.
-
Need to give him a whole season before we can judge, what I will say however is watching us this season has been incredibly tedious at times, and I'm worried that the team is as unfit as it has been for a few years now. We looked absolutely shattered after pressing Spurs for 20 minutes, considering we've had a 10 day break that's pretty worrying.
-
Shame the Saints fans were off camera, would loved to have seen how mental the away end went when the 3rd went in.
-
Beyond chuffed for J-Rod after that game. You just felt that if a goal could go in off his ass that he'd have the confidence to do something like that. This performance has set a benchmark, we know we can play that well as a team and we need to find that level of consistency more often.
-
Yessssssssss!!!!! What a goal J-ROD!!!!!
-
Giving stupid fouls away and letting them come at us, need that third goal to kill this.
-
Speak for yourself, our fans have known he is quality for years now, he's just been having an inconsistent spell lately.
-
Yes J-ROD!!!!!
-
Discussing that Tedmond chance on Sky, really should be 2-1 to us.
-
great defending, useless ****

We are after a Vanencia midfielder says the Daily Star
bpsaint replied to Norm's topic in The Saints
Can't see much truth in this, we're hugely stocked in midfield with any of the following to choose from: Davis Hojbjerg Romeu Ward-Prowse Tadic Boufal Sims Reed Clasie Plus the option to push McQueen up on the wing as shown a couple of times. -
We'd be better off playing Virgil up top with the current system we're using.
-
This is true, you'd like to think the numerical advantage would take its toll after so long.
-
70 minutes against 10 men, we HAVE to make that count.
-
Dirty ****, deserved red

Massive win that papers over the cracks for a few more days. Dreadful first half, better second half but boro offered nothing so it wasn't hard to improve on the first 45.
-
The way I'm feeling at the moment I would rather stay at home and pluck each individual hair out of my arse crack than go and watch the dull, insipid rubbish currently being played at St Mary's. Really can't call this one, on paper I'd say home win, but we look completely devoid of attacking threat and Boro can defend very well at times, we need to win this so very badly, but I wouldn't be surprised if Boro manage a result, and I f things don't go our way I expect the atmosphere to get quite nasty.
