It was 2-0, and the s****s are heavily pushing for an equaliser, lets hope it doesn't come, they're currently 5 points off safety
-
Can we read much into that QPR result or have they got a reserve team out?
-
One of the videos I uploaded to YouTube, one of my favourite Hassan performances....

Massive player for us in the great escape season of 98-99, a good solid midfielder in the seasons following. Shame he got so greedy and messed his career up.
-
Think you might be confused with the Man City game which is being shown on ESPN. Can count on a very good stream though for United what with all their 'fans' across the globe.

Cortese's *****?
-
0 goals? I'm sure he scored in a cup game for us? Still **** though.
-
I liked his frequent ability to smash a shot at goal, and then see the ball end up going out for a throw in.

Is anyone actually going to do the pathetic hanky thing?

There was a group of around 6 sat near the dugout pre match waving them about. Also saw a couple in the kingsland waving what looked like a pair of pillowcases, although they may just had really bad colds. -
Olly Lancashire's shock tweet about Southampton Football Club

This thread is so much more interesting following today events. Cortese FC indeed. -
Chant like its 2002. "Svensson, knocked the Argies out!"

Southamptons goal machine. the song is just all wrong!

I normally just sing "he took us to the premier league" instead. A subtle change and not as ridiculous as the champions league one. -

Lost for words, well done to the team and the fans brave enough to make the journey. Rickie Lambert. Saints Legend -
I'll match that with the scars from 'that' defeat at Fratton Park. Still, WTFILN!! Got a 3 inch scar just above my junk from a hernia operation, no cool war wounds for me. Yet.

From what I can remember Fernandes never got much of a look in that season, which I found a shame as I thought his crossing ability plus Crouch's heading ability would have been very effective.
-
Remember his miss away to West Brom, think it may have been just before the Arsenal game he got sent off. Those 2 extra points if he'd scored would have kept us up. Shame how close we were to survival really. I liked Prutts, wasn't the best but fave his all, particularly that time we beat Liverpool 2-0 and he scored the first, probably his best performance for us.

On the subject of things being evened up over time it was only last week that we had a pen given against us when it shouldn't have.
-
Granted I'm not a qualified lip-reader but it looked like J-Rod said it wasn't a foul in one the replays. Can't stand players that dive personally, but I thought it should have been a pen for the foul on Punch by the keeper.

Get in, huge win. Boruc did well today, for me that was the equivalent of Leeds away last year. Seriously need to get a CB in ASAP, hope Shaw is ok too.
-
I know most will be watching on a stream but we're live on Absolute Radio if it helps anyone. COYS, hope we smash them.

Muse and Foos at Wembley remain 2 of the greatest live shows I've ever seen. Green Day are always good value for money too. Heard good things about The Boss, looking forward to one of his legendary 3 hour shows here this year.

Never noticed the 53 year old man wears a wig, now you mention it though it does look a bit suspect. Seriously people its not hard to work out from what others have posted and linked to. 53 year old man, from Hampshire, worked with Jim Davidson, and as jonnyboy says may see his name on this website, a Saints forum.

Think I'll book some time off work and stay up there for both games, bugger doing that trip twice in 3 days.

It's a shame we just miss out on the chance to see Thierry Henry in action once again, I was hoping that if we're in the end of a scoreline like earlier this season we could spend all evening chanting his name to show what bestest fans in the world we are, and it'll take the embarrassment off the scoreline as the media applaud us for our incredible support at an opposing teams player.
