  1. Been one hell of a journey! Far too many high points to name, really enjoyed being a big fish in a small pond in League 1, and had more amazing away days than I ever could in the sterile grounds of the Premier League. That 1-0 at Yeovil on the terraces in the sunshine, winning 4-0 at Brizzle Rovers and exorcising the ghost of the 1-0 loss 2 seasons prior, both trips to Orient, Brighton and Plymouth away.... I actually miss those days is some ways. The JPT run, smashing Leeds on the opening day in the Championship, staying in the top 2 all season, breaking pretty much every win record we'd ever had. They were fun times. Lowest point for me by far was away to Swindon in our first season in League 1. Even though we'd made a few signings that was by far and wide one of the worst performances I'd ever seen from Saints, and for me that really was rock bottom. In fairness everything has been pretty much upwards from that point.

    Artur Boruc

    Joint best with 2000/01 season.
  3. 1-1 now thankfully, hope City get the win.
  4. United can still finish 6th if they win their next 2.
  5. With that in mind I suppose there's an outside chance Sky might decide to televise our game to see if Man Utd can finish in a European Spot.
  6. Lots of bitter plastics bemoaning Adam his place in the team on twitter, despite the fact the votes are cast by their fellow pros. Both we'll deserved, although am slightly surprised at Shaw being in I have to admit. Adds a few quid on his price tag though I suppose.....
  7. According to that link Terry Paine made 815 appearances in the 17 years between 1957 - 1974, which works out an average of 47 appearances a season!! Christ that's impressive, especially with a few England appearances on top of that. edit: I know most fans probably know this fact, and I'm well aware Paine is a saints legend, I'd just never really took the time to read the statistics about him.
  8. Fair play to them, incredible how far they've come in a short space of time. Would be great for the area if they could achieve another promotion, although would they be allowed into the football league without major redevelopment of the silverlake?
  9. If Shaw is to truly become a top player then he needs to get some major practice in crossing, particulary the ability to bend a ball around a player instead of having to beat him first. Too often his crosses are soft floaty balls into the box which most keepers happily claim all day long. Despite his shocking ability to defend Fox had one hell of a cross on him, that's the sort of delivery we miss.
  10. Fulham - A Liverpool - H Man Utd - A Chelsea - A Arsenal - H that's one hell of a run in. Be lucky to get a point from those.
  11. https://twitter.com/brucemyster69/status/453156437959909376 they are so tinpot it's unbelievable.
  12. Even without the pace of J-Rod I still expect us to win this by a clear 3 or 4 goals, Cardiff are dog****. Good opportunity for Gallagher to impress, hoping Boruc is back too.
  13. Same story we've seen so many times this season, dominate the first half but let down by errors and lack of depth in the squad. Gazza is just doing his job, but he simply is not good enough for this level. How anyone on here can say otherwise is beyond me, not brave enough for the third and in no mans land for the fourth. Not that it cost us the game, we simply weren't good enough once we lost J-Rod. Praying for the guy and his World Cup dream, but seen enough football games to know that doesn't look good. Concerned for the striking options now till the end of the season.
  14. ****, looks like J-rod has done his cruiciate. Poor bastard, World Cup dream over.
  15. Fairly decent goals are quite often hyped up too much, there was nothing Maradona-esque about tht at all. The only goal I've seen come close to Maradona was by Leo Messi against Getafe, in fact I even prefer it to the one scored by the fat Argie ******. Look how crazy the media went for Rooneys volley at the weekend, which we've seen Beattie do against Sunderland and Chelsea, even skate Matt Taylor done the same once, yet people think it's better than Beckham's legendary goal against Wimbledon. Not even close IMO.
  16. Typing ' Richie Barker ' in the search bar on twitter is good for a laugh.
  17. Arrested once again...... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ex-newcastle-united-striker-nile-ranger-3274951 this guy really is scum.
  18. 2-0 and WE ****ed it up. Not happy.
  19. How many ****ing goals are we gonna gift the opposition this season, seriously FFS!!!!!!!
  20. How is that a spurs freekick? **** of a ref
  21. Courtesy of our local paper. Some pretty controversial choices it has to be said. Im particularly shocked to see the 85 centenary kit and the Denmark style Hummel one in there.... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/11095184.10_worst_Saints_kits/?ref=var_0
  22. Cardiff keeper David Marshall looks a class act on MOTD once again, would be a good replacement for Boruc.
  23. Still annoyed yes. To the point i'm seriously thinking about not renewing my ST next year. Might sound a little OTT, but if the aim of our manager is to disregard all the cup competitions, and aim for a 7th -10th place finish each year then really can't be arsed. We'll never finish top 6 without serious investment, so the cups are the only thing a club of our size can realistically aim for.
