Fantastic news, another one signed up. Now can we please PLEASE get Boruc tied down!
-
For the PFA awards its 23 or under at the start of the season so with that in mind I'd have no issue giving my vote to Morgan on both categories.

Good article that, nice to see others recognising how Rickie is so much more than just a big man up front. I do wonder, and I wonder if Rickie does, what a player he could have been if he'd knuckled down at an earlier age? Oh and is that a genuine quote from Grant Holt? What an arrogant **** if so.

Quinn is getting right on my tits.

Christ we look appalling.

Sony had an Easter offer for this from the PSN for the whole game plus downloadable add-ons for just £19.99, so I thought it'd be rude not to. Only played for a few hours but my initial impressions are good, very good. I'd have no qualms in saying that visually, it's one of the best games I've ever seen. The island and surroundings have been done to great detail, and the human characters are incredibly lifelike. It's fair to say the series needed a reboot, I hadn't played a TR game since TRIII on the PS1 and this is a million miles away from that. U!fortunately for me you can see the inspiration it has taken from the Uncharted series, which of course was a kind of evolvement of TR in itself, so some of the set pieces or button bashing sequences don't seem as thrilling as they could because Uncharted set the bar ridiculously high for that. For example climbing up the creaky remains of a downed aircraft before it falls doesn't even come close to the hanging train of Uncharted II in the squeaky bum ranks. That said though it is proving to be a beautiful and enjoyable game, and hopefully by the time I've completed it it'll have formed its own identity as a great game capable of standing on its own merits alongside Uncharted and so many others.

I was seriously looking forward to Star Wars:1313 too, looks like it may never see the light of day now which is a shame.

wow, I literally just opened up the forum to ask if anyone has seen House Of Cards as I'd heard good things. I'll take your post as a sign that I should watch it.

Signed Premier League ball - (Signed by Saints Squad and Pochettino)
bpsaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in Buy / Sell
Nice ball, although I must ask is it one of the professional match balls the team use, or the £12 replica available from Argos? -
Barry Hornes' last minute equaliser against Bolton is certainly up there.

Agreed, our quick passing and pressing game would suit European football, my point about being ill equipped was as you've said, due to our lack of quality depth in our squad. If we can consolidate and perhaps qualify for Europe next season ( assuming we stay up this year) I think we'll be ready to give it a good go. I can't wait to play the likes of ACHE Mellbalov as mention by another poster. Travelling to the arse end of Europe for a good beer up and to watch my team play international club football is an exciting thought.

Didn't he say this would be his last job in football or did I imagine that? I'm struggling to think of where he would go next if he was to leave QPR. We know he doesn't want to be too far from home, so that narrows it down to the south of England. Can't think of any London teams that would be after a new manager, not unless Fat Sam or Martin Jol were to leave their jobs, and couldn't see him taking on a Championship job unless it was a club that were planning on throwing an unlimited amount of money on a promotion push. Maybe he'd go off twitching abroad somewhere?

Even with the Adkins thing we should smash them. They looked a complete shambles against Arsenal yesterday.

Fonte is clearly the better defender, madness to start Jos over him.

Following on from a previous post of mine 50 points is on average the number needed for safety, therefore they need to win all 5 of their last 5 games. shalalalalalalala......
-
I thought he'd already been arrested over this? Or was he just questioned under caution last time?
-
What a day that was! One of my favourite ever bits of commentary on that video, "you do not keep out a Rickie Lambert penalty".
-
Worry ye not, my fag packet maths tell me that looking at previous seasons, 50 points is the benchmark for survival. The skates are currently on 34 points with 6 to play, a total of 18 points available which would put them on 52 points. However though they'd have to win all of their next 6 games to reach that target, which whilst not impossible is highly unlikely. Less than 5 wins and they'll be down. This is of course assuming the 10 points don't get added for one reason or another.

Indeed. I remember watching Matty set the record straight on Soccer Saturday when Ronaldo reached 100 Premier League goals and every media outlet was claiming he was the first midfielder to do so.
-
This. Cost me about £8 to park there last time I went, as opposed to the criminal £20 for pre booking via O2.

I saw that too, typical twitchy **** deflecting the blame away from himself for the loss. They need at least 15 points from 8 games, could be down in a few weeks hopefully!! We were class today, reminds me of the saints of old raising their game for the big teams and struggling against the dross. Morgan was incredible today, chased everything and bossed the centre of the pitch, equally frightening and exciting just how good he could be in 2-3 years time. Good to see J-Rod further showing his potential again, he's starting to play without fear and looks all the better for it.

Boruc was top drawer today. Having a top class keeper in goal is so so important in the context of a football season, such a shame he wasn't played every game from his arrival. Good to have a bit of a character in the team too, like the way he slaps himself before kickoff and his little dance before goal kicks, nutter. Had to laugh at Suarez giving him a load of gob towards the end, bet he wouldn't be that brave away from the pitch.
