Their Stadium will be as big as ours in a couple of seasons if expansion plans go ahead. They are a big draw in their area (**** all else going on, same as down here), they compete in the same league as us, so in terms of resources - surely they are on a par with Saints? I don't know what their ownership structure is like mind.

People saying it is their biggest game of the season are going a bit far IMO. Pretty sure they were more excited about playing the big boys of the Premier League ahead of Saints.

Don't think the rules are the same in the league cup as for the FA Cup, so we don't have to give them more than we would for a league game. Could be wrong on that though!

Don't forget the epic JPT shootout against Norwich! He saved 2 or 3 that night - sublime

Also, did anyone else enjoy the A34 closure last night? Made my ****ing blood boil! Horrendously signed, long, awful diversion. Added 1.5 hours to the sodding journey home.

You know what he meant, stop being angry for the sake of it. Liverpool are a billion times larger a club than Saints - they should be beating us in every league meeting. Thankfully their team is ****e at the moment and we all have a chance of getting something out of the games.

There are a shed load of Saints fans that cannot get tickets because they haven't plumped up the cash for a membership. I can see 4 of them from my office. All of them didn't know about the membership scheme until they tried to get a ticket (which is odd, the club do bang on about it). It's harming ticket sales, for sure. Silly making it so difficult for people, IMO.

Because of the strict criteria placed on away ticket sales you are only ever going to have a similar bunch of people from a 'select' pool going to away games. It's too hard to get a ticket these days, so many of the 'lads' who would make a day of it (and probably make a racket) just can't go. So it's left to the Kingsland halfway line old-boys and their tag along daughters to snap up all the tickets. Itso facto ****e atmosphere.

Each to their own but the idea of sitting inside all day on Sunday watching 2 or three matches gives me chills - boring! I love going to matches, but it's only the biggest games that get me excited enough to watch them on the box.

Anyone that pays £75 to a television provider needs their head looked at. Seriously, utterly ludicrous amount of money!

If their keeper hadn't made 2 world class saves and Yoshida hadn't hit the post at the end we'd be talking up a great performance by the lads. Instead its the ****ing apocalypse on here and we are going out of Europe. I'm not saying it was a vintage performance, it wasn't, but we were by far the better side, created a shed load of missed chances and were the only team looking to play any football. Frustrating evening - but I saw some positives in the performance.

Block 39, a few rows in front of the pasty faced downtrodden looking bloke who shouts "We hate pompey" for 90 minutes, every single match.

Amazing that our sponsorship and kit sales are apparently only a small amount more than Bomo or Palace.
