Todays Echo predictions

I say front page will be "Swiss bidders revealed"

Whilst the back will say "Swiss front runners, deal to be complete Tuesday"

Obviously they'll also have the "Wotte's Egyptian U Turn" story and the Eastleigh match write up.

Back page "Swiss bid led by billionaires!" EXCLUSIVE!!!!

Todays Echo is........

Mark Fry says the Swiss tick all the right boxes, though there are still a couple of issues outstanding but nothing major.

Two other bids pushing exceptionally hard if the Swiss deal fails.

A worldwide financial services group, meanwhile, believe they are close to a takeover deal.

Swiss reportedly named as Liebherr Group.

Also have John Batchelor with the heading "Do we really want THIS man to get involved with buying Saints".

Nothing front page Saints related.

So they are confirmed as the Liebherr grou then.

So why the f*ck was Fry giving any sort of exclusivity or time to Pinnacle? Unless that is, that the Pinnacle that started beared no significance to the one that was there at the end.

Yes a very interesting point with which I agree entirely with.

Although why would a multimillionaire engage Lynam who has no experience in buying a football club;

I am sure i read on here that the Swiss did not want to compete with a MLT bid at first as they thought fans would instantly take a dislike for them if they outbid a legend????

I can't help feeling that this is another false dawn, but it would be great if it happens. Fair play to Mark Fry for brokering this type of deal for us if it is true.

You HAVE to be joking right??!!

How about - how the hell did he rush Pinnacle into exclusivity and waste FOUR weeks when THESE guys were talking to him??....

Which is what the senior partners at BT will no doubt be asking him if he saves his ass and our club with this.

I doubt if Mr Fry is as incompetant as you suggest he would in all probality been liasing with his superiors and the other joint administrator.

Although I have always struggled to believe that Pinnacle were the front runners with Lynam in charge there may well have been substance to their bid at sometime in June and may have been offering more than the Swiss which was more acceptable to the creditors

Even though you and I would have probably wanted the Swiss Fry and the Creditors would want the most money ie Pinnacle

This one will never be proven unless one of the creditors or a senior exec at BT makes a public statement.

I'm happy with my view on this and I did mention my misgivings about Fry way back in May based on input from the "Industry" in general and while results in the end count, personally I think that while his actions may well have led to 3 or 4 weeks of extra fees for BT, the delay has caused damage to the club, it's squad and it's preparations for what will be a difficult season.

Because the fees increased, I do think that also increases the likelihood that the creditors will receive less and so they may well also be asking similar questions in the future although likely not in public

I think you are belittling Mr Fry without any real evidence at the moment which is typical of people on this forum.

If of evidence does come to light which proves your point I will of course apologise

I think this is another spelling mistake from the Echo ... Mark Fry is saying they pick all the right boxes

If the Swiss bid "ticks all the right boxes", WHY did Fry allow a dubious Pinnacle offer ???

Wotte ??? WHO had the Authority to sappoint him MANAGER ???? ..... as regards his comment of having a flight ticket to Egypt for 1st July .... he forgot to mention that by then, it was clear that the Egyptians DID NOT WANT HIM

SOMEBODY has told him to "hang on"

The Swiss "bid" seems too good to be true ...... and most likely is .... I still say that Fry will pick who HE wants .... IMHO, it will NOT be the Swiss, because they are not READY yet .....simple as that

I thought Wotte was appointed because they could change an existing contract but were not allowed to appoint someone new. I think coaches are very thin on the ground at the mo and it was him or nothing.
