Saintjersey Posted 8 July, 2009 Share Posted 8 July, 2009 Well that stops the theory then he was holding out for us to be takenover. Surely he could have held out for a few more hours?!?!

Badger Posted 8 July, 2009 Share Posted 8 July, 2009 Don't blame him. Premiership quality keeper. Good luck, Kelvin. Not a Premiership quality keeper in my view.He will however be on Premiership wages. I am sorry he is going though, would thank him for turning the tide and giving performances that changed people's perception of him ,and good luck at West Ham. Northam Girls Posted 8 July, 2009 Share Posted 8 July, 2009 Confirmed on radio solent's 9am news by Kevin James. Been listening all morning and didn't hear that ! Also have not received confirmation from SFC as I did for both David and Drew - received text before formal announcement. Kelvin was at Totton last night in full kit warming up before game - find it difficult to believe and very very sad if true :-(

SO16_Saint Posted 8 July, 2009 Share Posted 8 July, 2009 good luck, Kelvin. Top top man, and great keeper. Cant blame him for wanting to better himself, but it IS strange timing, and strange that he would go to be 'back up'

OldNick Posted 8 July, 2009 Share Posted 8 July, 2009 The supposed medical was longer ago than Friday. Sure it was last Tuesday or something.I was under the impression that he went up friday and came back over the weekend but was going back monday to sign as the WHU players returned , hence my thread monday. Why it has not finalised is a mystery.

RedAndWhite91 Posted 8 July, 2009 Share Posted 8 July, 2009 Strange to think he'll be a #2 beneath Green, but all the best to him, top bloke, great keeper. Sad to see him go but at least he has gone to one of my favoured teams, be interesting to see what West Ham fans think of it... My old man (West Ham fan) says "cool... good player" haha. Goodbye Super Kelvin Davis.

Ashby Saint Posted 8 July, 2009 Share Posted 8 July, 2009 6 of the first 10 links are re Davis going: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/League+One/Southampton Most of those are just re-treads of the BBc article. Had to laugh at the one from Yahoo Sports - "Davis Set for Hatters". Quality journalism.
