NickG Posted 9 July, 2009 Author Share Posted 9 July, 2009 He is by far the biggest name, if you wanted to have a club as an extravagant corporate hospitality thing, attract media, players and have best chance to start the season with a few straight wins - big support etc Keegan would be head and shoulders ahead of WGS in your thinking. Particularly if foreign, compare profile of manager of Coventry, Saints and Celtic with manager of Newcastle, Man C, Fulham and England, England Capt, twice European footballer of the year. I would have to agree with that and the fact that Keegan played in Hamburg, where ML probably followed his playing career and the fact that we signed him from them, may well have sewn the seed of knowledge of our football club in ML's brain? Who knows??
Holbury Saint Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Now I know this may be laughed off but I have been told today by someone who I used to work with at the club that Strachan was at training ground today between the time training finished and the Wotte sacking announcement. This person actually spoke to Strachan and asked what he was doing there. Strachans response was that the physio Mo Gimpel was looking at his leg! Yes, I know sounds far fetched but this person is not an ITK blagger and doesn't make up nonesense for effect. Has anyone else heard this?
