Brilliant, been to watch Hearts a few times - great club and good fans. Being half scottish my uncle was keen to make sure I supported someone in the SPL (as long as it wasnt Rangers)

Ooh good point GITR think i might have to give it a miss then...

Anyone in the Hearts side that our management might be 'looking at' I wonder....?

I'm great on conspiracy theories...How about these ?

Why didn't Hearts choose to go to Pompey, Brighton or Bristol instead.?

Could it be we may have a well-known Scottish manager in place by then ?

-or that the " manager of the Scottish national side" may want to see some players in action...and he knows the way to the ground without a GPS ?

all will be revealed......later.

(NO! , I haven't tapped anyone's phone .......)

Shame we could have not got Rangers, with WGS in charge that could have been a real warm up. Who remembers them coming down to the Dell for a Texaco Cup match in the 70's.

Beware what you wish for. Ask Greater Manchester police !

Wonder what Rangers fans will do to Pompey ? Already a ruin...................

I remember it well - it was the first match I ever went to! If memory serves we won 2-0, our second being a beautiful lob of his own keeper by Rangers' right back. :D

Won't be there for Hearts though - I'll be at Lords... :):):)

Seared in my memory, 15 at the time. No team has ever, ever taken over Southampton like they did.

I rather suspect Burnley might be a more tempting prospect for Driver....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/8135884.stm

Burnley have offered Hearts about £1.5m - rising to a potential £2m - for 21-year-old winger Andrew Driver.

The clubs began talks over the weekend, but Hearts are holding out for £4-5m based on him being a newly-capped England Under-21 international.

If you aren't going to Lord's ;)

Tickets on sale now -

Just bought two. A bit miffed though - I asked if I could have a free ticket to Hearts (as I recently bought my ST and I cannot make it to the Ajax game). They said the offer was for the Ajax game only, which is somewhat disappointing really.

Whetherspoons pubs are usually friendly/quite cheap. There are three in Southampton I think.. St Lucius (just outside outside of ocean village, not too far from the ground), Standing order (in town centre), Giddy Bridge (top end of town).

I know were Scottish but they don't have to be cheap you know. It's Hearts who are visiting not the Old Firm.:p

I hope the Wetherspoon's more friendly than the one we went to in Hull. It was full of their local neds and police film crew.

Thanks for the tips.
