BWP has gone!

Hope the new manager is going to bring in some fire power gaffer - as we sure as hell are going to need it!!!
Yep if Rasiak Saga and John are unable to move on we will have an experienced forward line, in fact slower than Foxy and more injury prone than Baj. Lol

nicK......most of us identified that we needed two strikers and that was with them.............meaning they were not first choice. Glad they're gone IMHO
Perhaps, BWP is not the loss theat DMG is. We will see what happens to him over the next 2 seasons. Frankly we need 2 new strikers a couple of good midfielders and a few defenders.

You all know deep down what is really going to happen don't you.

he'll score a flukey goal in the first game, go off on a run and score 30 goals next season. Not because of his ability, but because it always happens to us - Unless of course luck has finally turned!

But as other said, the departures leave gaps in the squad, a player with a footballing of brain would be nice for a change. What's BigDaveWatson up to this season?

Hopefully for us, Luggy knows what he's doing!

In the right system, he'll do ok for you (not set the world alight but ok). Trouble we have with most of our players, they are square pegs in round holes. Sh!t managers playing sh!t systems and trying to fit the players around them instead of playing players in their proper positions and playing a system to suit.

He was totally ******* useless.

(well actually he wasn't totally useless and he did score some goals and contribute to other games, but this is a football forum and you are allowed to be a bit industrial and forthright);)

would do well to remember that when someone does not rate pearson

Have never had a problem with anyone offering up a different opinion on a player/match/manager, it's fottball after all, but, (a) if you post anything fatcual you have to get it right, i.e. points record, and (b) it helps to have seen what you're talking about.

there you go again

your "facts" must be right, and anyone (like me yesterday) who holds a different view of things MUST be wrong

we can all post "points per game" ratio and turn it into a full season..but that hardly tells a full story o fthe situation

sadly, i thought you would get that...

Presume he's gone because he's unwanted by the new owners, am sure we could have matched Plymouth's offer.

This just goes to underscore our problem with strikers at the moment - John, Rasiak and Saga all good at L1 level, but are they up for it?

I would love to know what kind of wages he managed to secure down there. As I have said about before, he does have talent, just seemed to lack the attitude to apply himself and get the best out of his career. Far too happy to take the money and go out on the lash.

Maybe a new start will bring out the best in him, but I can't see him setting the world alight. He would have done well in this league, but I don't feel we were ever going to see the best of him, given all that has gone on during his time here. Time to forget about him and move on to other targets

your "facts" must be right,

Indeed they should, so when Red and White Army & Clifford Nelson get the PPG ratios of Pearson's, Wotte's and Poortvliet's tenures wrong, then they should expect to get picked up on it.

That's what I mean by facts, i.e. something verifiable and undisputable (not sure what you find so hard to understand about that comment).

and anyone (like me yesterday) who holds a different view of things MUST be wrong...

Not at all, and as my second point says, then if you've seen the player/manager/team then you're totally entitled to your opinion.

BTW how many times did you see Leicester last season?

Strange one as on one hand the Club are saying they're not standing in anyone's way as they want the manager to take the decisions, yet last week we signed Kelvin up.

IMHO, there's someone in the background giving the nod (hopefully WGS).

different..we are not always right..none of us..

however, i remember being told my behaviour was disgusting for questioning pinnacle on here - different

I remember claiming burley was a busted flush (many remember that) it helped to get me banned as the stick I got - different

I remember questioning wilde (as did a hanful of others) - different

I also claimed that wotte was going to keep us up - also different

yes, i do hold a different view..sometimes I am right, sometimes I am wrong...but like all of us really.. If i remember rightly, you were one of those wetting yourself at every Tony Lynam post...(sorry if that is wrong)

i want the best for the club, just because i dont want pearson, think we can do better than tisdale and could see pinnacle as a sham before most this makes me a SKATE..?

baiting at its best..well done

4-5 times and then on what was on the ITV programme..also going on what friends at work told me..

dont tell me..you have seen them 6 times..

Seems fair enough to me.

You seem to think they were direct under Pearson, which although I struggle to see how you come to that conclusion from what I saw throughotu the season, is an opinion you're welcome to.

I may think it's total poppycokc, but it' just as valid as mine.

Sorry.........I thought you were a matelot.......in the Army, we called you skates......mayhap I'm wrong about your profession.

Yes I did go along with TL, as did most on here at the begining.....then a ground swell of abuse started, to which I defended the man.......I seem to remember you were at the forefront of that abuse....again, I may be wrong!!

If he plays regularly in attack, I think he'll surprise a few on here. Would liked to have seen him stay as he would have been very useful for us in League One. I still believe that under the right management, he could become a very good player. Can't blame him for leaving, and I wish him all the very best for the future.

Yep were scoring loads without DMG and BWP aren't we?

Yeah like we scored loads with those two up front...consistently!

The only goals I remember from BWP last season were to 2 at Reading...did he miss more than he scored?

DMcG will come out alright at Forest, but let's face it he didn't seem that bothered in most games.

We haven't had a decent forward for 3/4 seasons...Rasiak and Saganowski (pre-contract) scored a few but again missed more than they scored.

What is it about creating chances in the 6-yard box we don't understand? We constantly hoofed the ball and hoped someone wpuld out jump a 6ft 2in defender already conceding 5/6 inches! We passed the ball lovely - but never went wide and the man to the goal line

and cut it back. Defenders hate having to deal with it and keepers leave them well alone. All we seemed to do was invite golaies and defenders alike to pluck the ball out of the air - they could see it for ages before they had to decide what to do.

Our shooting is abysmal - I'm not going to pull punches...say what I mean. If they were on target 9/10 the goalkeeper held on - lack of power or what? No rebounds for the forwards (if they were up with play and not offside) to tap in.

I attacking prowess is appalling - we simply don't want to take charge and take the game to other teams. We had (and probably a bit unfair) no one who had the "I'll have a go!" mentality. It was always pass and give the responsibility to someone else. The forwards were lazy and never seemed hungry enough. Good old Beattie came and got the ball if he felt he didn't have the service, and chased virtually everything down - something Rasiak or BWP ever did?

So in short - forwards are gone who didn't set The Championship on fire leaving us with an couple of old Poles who clearly don't want to play for us...and Stern John! No disrespect to the youngsters playing at the moment but I haven't seen you play and you didn't score against Cheltenham FFS!

It reminds of the cold night in Rotherham (well Sheffield) - "Who needs Renaldo...We've got Stern John" after he scored. He was direct and wanted it after coming off the bench.

It really is a real dilemna - we have internations in the squad that really should play every week and score sh*t loads of goals or we have hungry youths who just don't have the nounce.

Before I go on about what we should or shouldn't have - every successful team builds from the back. A decent shot stopper, two big centre halves and a couple of decent full backs. Then you need a spine and enforcer + a legs man in midfield...then you can worry about who scores the goals!
