Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 What we need is an ambitious, young British manager. There's a bloke at Leicester doing well, Pearson's his name, I think. D'oh... Sorry Jan - it's looking like you've wasted your money buying out your Helmond Sports contract. the saints god Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 at the end of the day its the players on the pitch, yeh the manager can talk to the before hand but its up to the players to win the game.
simo Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 I would give him 5 more games to turn things around then we need someone with English league experience {not Wotte)! Before its too late to save us)!
benjii Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 I wish we would start with 2 upfront (with Stern being one of them). This system is not working without Holmes and a genuine right winger.

teamsaint Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 to be fair, it seems likely that RL is making a lot of decisions. For instance, is Skacel really not good enough for this team? Who did the Holmes deal? does JP really not want a proper RB? etc etc
badgerx16 Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 (edited) at the end of the day its the players on the pitch, yeh the manager can talk to the before hand but its up to the players to win the game. But the manager picks the team, ( or at least reads out the names the Chairman has written down for him ), and he is the one standing on the touchline watching the players fail to pass to a team-mate, and failing to get crosses into the box, and failing to cut out the opponents chances; and he is the one failing to make the correct substitutions, and failing to change the tactics. ( Or is all that the fault of the players as well ? ). He is in charge, and he should be able to alter things when it is patently going wrong . Maybe when we get to League 1 JP will be managing at his level ? Edited 23 September, 2008 by badgerx16 Makes a bit more sense now
WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 Is league 1 JP'S level? We couldn't even beat a league 2 side tonight!!

Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 If this type of performance goes on much longer, the players could take part in a 'spot the fan' competition.

saintstr1 Posted 23 September, 2008 Share Posted 23 September, 2008 I would give him 5 more games to turn things around then we need someone with English league experience {not Wotte)! Before its too late to save us)! 5 more games !!! , I wouldn't give him 5 more minutes. It is obvious to anyone who knows anything about the game that old JP is just clutching at every possible straw and hoping for a result. Last couple of games Pekhart plays well so tonight he benches him!, Thomson has looked fair as a wide attacking midfielder but he prefers to play James who has only played full back and also not 100% fit,( missed last game only 3 days ago with injuy).BWP is totally out of form and not even worth a place on the bench at the moment, and McG is so in love with himself after the Sh't JP has said about him in recent weeks that he actually thinks he is the new Alan Shearer,(Silly deluded boy). The one world class player on the books is Skacel so he totally ignores him. Yes we have a very young and totally inexperienced team and that is what they will stay unless we get a very experienced Manager with CCC credentials in now.We can not go into every game with JP just putting all the names in a hat and hoping he pulls out a winning combination.
