redkeith Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 Of course Brown says he want's the job. If he did not apply for it , he would have his job seekers allowance taken away.
Saint_Jonny Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 Could do alot worse I spose, some of names being thrown around are in dream land quite frankly. I would not be disappointed to see Phil Brown here. Much rather NC went round to pardews house with a big bunch of flowers and a card that says "sorry, we want you back", however... stthrobber Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8364592.Brown_wants__to_take_Saints_to_the_Premier_League_/ I think in all fairness the Echo have called Brown and asked whether he'd be interested, rather than Brown making an open statement expressing his interest. The telling part of the interview was "so of course I would be interested..." ie that is something you offer in reply to a question. Phil Brown would be a good choice to get us out of League 1 and the Championship, but I'm not sure he's good enough to keep us in the Prem if we get back there. onthemarch Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 Brown is an idiot - FACT. He plays terrible football and is a self centered idiot. I for one would not attend any games if he becomes our manager - he is from the Sam Allaydarce school of lets take any flair out of football and play percentages. PLEASE NO

Brussels Saint Posted 2 September, 2010 Share Posted 2 September, 2010 Definitely not. That players on the pitch, half time team talk has to be one of the most cringeworthy, rush of blood, disrespectful ideas ever. Most players would instantly think "Thanks Phil for making me look like a c*ck" and seemed to have been done for his own ego and nothing more. The more i think about it, outside of the dream pair of O'Neill or Curbishley, i think Paul Jewell is the man for the job. He is very good at getting teams promoted.
