oops, we will see if he plays today if true. Sky said the other night that he had played his last game for us.

no, they said "a source close to Chamberlain said he may have played his last game for us" - big difference, one is factual, the other is total ambiguous.

IMO if we can keep him for the rest of season and get the rumoured £10m then we have a good deal, that will give us 5 very good championship players, if he leaves in Jan it doesn't give us much time to replace him, although i assume work has been going on behind the scenes incase this happens.

People who think he should leave his window have you watched Saints lately? He is brilliant, we need to keep him for our promotion charge!

I think what ever happens he'll stay to the end of this season.

I'm sure any prospective clubs will see it as the best option for him too, a chance to win lots of games, score goals and get a winners medal before joining a big club. He wouldn't benefit from moving in January as he's not really achieved anything yet - and he'd be a fool with rubbish advisor's if he does.

I do agree, but he seemed to be getting slightly more greedy and self-indulgent last saturday. It is still absolutely crucial he stays for us to go up though.

I will be gutted if he leaves so soon into his southampton career, and no doubt there will be a great deal of Cortese bashing over it if true. In reality though we all know that football clubs have no power anymore and stupidly the players hold all the aces, if he really wanted to go we couldn't stop him.

All we can hope for is a large amount of cash and perhaps a loan back period ?

On the flipside, if we build up a decent relationship with Arsene we could get some decent young players out of it ??

I totally agree.

I have to wonder why we have not taken any of Arsenal's young players when Wenger knows what a good academy we have and how we look after our youngsters you would have thought he would be begging us to take them to aid their development!
