There was a quote somewhere in an article saying that his brother is ''as good, if not better''.

Not sure how true that is.

Presumably some git in the media will now start a 'younger Oxlade-Chamberlain to Arsenal' story.

I've never seen him play but I reckon he's worth £14 million easy.

Means nothing if we keep selling them to other clubs that don't do youth development , we don't need to sell, we are constantly told, aoc going nowhere, we were told, who's off next?

This is the key question. The problem is we are 5-10 years away from being in a position to really be attractive enough to youngsters to stay. We need to be in the Prem challenging for a top 6 place, winning silverware and offering incredible personal contracts before we stand any chance of keeping our best. It's the dilemna faced by club academies that turn out top talent - there needs to be FA and FIFA intervention to stop a player from leaving his 'home' club until 21 years of age. That will sort this stupidity out once and for all.

The complete opposite to that is going to happen very soon with this proposal...

They want to make it easier for the best players to goto the best academies.

They're a bit behind arent they. As were already doing that(no reserve team), so no great revolution there!!!;)

Gosh what a surprise, Prem teams attempt to siphon up all the young talent because they have rules giving them "free" numbers of young players in their squads and aren't going to be able to fork out billions on players once the turnover rules come in.

Frankly, WTF has the development of young players got to do with the Premier League? It's for the FA to decide upon.

Shame they're a waste of space...
