Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 18 October, 2008 Share Posted 18 October, 2008 The bloke who mid-end of first half, just after their third goal, walked up the stairs below where the exec's sit (just by the clock/wheelchair section) and shouted what I believe was 'F*ck off Cowan you c*nt, and you too Lowe'. He promptly got himself escorted out but as he was down pitchside, turned and gave them one final barrage of abuse and stuck his fingers up at them. VectisSaint Posted 18 October, 2008 Share Posted 18 October, 2008 Sad that he laid into Cowan if he did. Lowe and Wilde fair game, but I think Cowan is the only one with an ounce of decency among them. I still think if we could have had Cowan and Hoos working with Crouch, we may have been on to a winner.

St. Jason Posted 19 October, 2008 Share Posted 19 October, 2008 Wish i knew who he was. I would definately buy him a pint.(Cue everyone on here saying it was them). It was me and I make no apologies for it. The barrage, as a previous poster said, was aimed at Lowe, but for some reason Lowe was not there (maybe in the dressing room for the half time chat??) only Cowen & Wotte was there, so they had the pleasure of my dis-pleasure! I dont care what anyone says, I've had enough. I've had a season ticket for over 20 years, i purchased 2 this year. I knew it would be a sham as soon as Lowe came back but I didn't want to fall into the bracket of (not a real fan) which is so quickly used on this forum! Well **** it, call me what you want, i dont care anymore and i tell you what, if someone like me has had enough and can't be arsed to go anymore, it must be bad. I've had enough of wilde, illingsworth etc calling on fans to 'save' the club. Any other PLC would be asking it's share holders for help, but they won'y do that as Lowe & Wilde would have to put their hand in their own pocket! I've had enough of Lowe closing my corner (itchen north) the excuse is bull****! How does closing the itchen south/kingsland north save money?? The same turnstiles, bars, food outlets etc are still being used, its all about Lowe getting his own back on the 'lunatic fringe' by closing the Itchen north, he had to close the other corners to mask this fact. I've had enough of paying £24 to watch the reserves when it was free last season. I've had enough of seeing international players (Scachle, John) sat on the bench when the team so obviously need thier help. I've had enough of watching our manager, sorry, head coach out of his depth, whilst the manager we let go is sat at the top of his league. I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!! I drove past SMS just after Watford scored their second goal and people were leaving in their droves. My mate rang me this morning and said that loads of people left the Northam at half time. He did make me laugh by saying that stewards were saying "if you leave you will not be able to come back in" which was promptly answered with "why the **** do I wanna go back in to watch that shower of ****e" People dont care or are losing the passion. Yesterday also proved it is not a money thing, people are so ****ed off with the crap that is being served. I have known Saint Jason I reckon going on for nearly 15 years going to football, under the east at the Dell, Itchen at SMS and for him to act this way just shows how bads things really are. As you know mate I couldn't be arsed from the start of the season so you've done a better job than me lasting this long. Sad thing is you end up not caring what happens, don't get me wrong I don't want Saints to lose but the hurt you used to feel starts to diminish. **** sake Bridget had me cleaning windows yesterday afternoon. You will never make people understand that we hold Lowe accountable for the position we are in and yes we protested about him from the beginning and before we were in the cup final which always gets thrown in your face when you have an anti Lowe debate on this site. Some of us can be moved into action but at the end of the day what is the point, people are too apathetic about it all. They seem to think it is easier to just stop going than join in with anything organised. We know plenty of people who would return the moment Lowe leaves the club (myself included) and I don't think we are the only people like that. At least it would of made you feel better at the time. I'm just not prepared to go when the person I hold accountable is back at the club only because he is worried about his investment. I kind of agree with what you are saying as Lowe coming back made my heart sink but the more I think about it the less I think it is to do with Lowe and more about football in general. I really only go now to see my footy mates before and after in the pub and for no other reason. In fact, I've stopped going to midweek games as that means just driving to the game and back. I'm only 36 and yet when I talk about football in general, and saints in particular, I sound like a grumpy old man harking back to the good old days. I used to go home and away every week without fail, middlesboro' away on a Tue night, Plymouth away in the ZDS without even thinking about it and yet now it is a real struggle to get on a bus for 15 mins to go to St Mary's. I think my reasons for falling out of love with the game and saints are numerous - change of personal circumtances, i.e. getting married, the cost of living today and the obscene amounts of money professional footballers get paid, soulless and passionless all seater stadia - the list goes on. I'm no Rupert Lowe fan, far from it, but all of the above are far bigger reasons for me not enjoying my Saturday afternoons any more than he is. So what your saying is in 12 months or so Wilde & Crouch undid all Lowes excellent financial work of the previous 10 years?? Come on mate, Lowe has mismanaged this club for over a decade, if he'd looked after the finances (10 years of prem rights, the record sales of Beattie, bridge, crouch, walcott, bale etc, cup final, cup runs, double gate reciepts) like he should have there'd be no problem. Crouch & Wilde took a gamble, it nearly paid of. Also don't forget Burley was Lowe's man, if Lowe had invested the money he spent on SCW the first season we went down on keeping Phillips, i think we'd of gone straight back up! Also don't forget Burley was Lowe's man, if Lowe had invested the money he spent on SCW the first season we went down on keeping Phillips, i think we'd of gone straight back up! listen mate,i applaud what you did,i cant be arsed to do something like that, all i want to do is watch football.i dont care about lowe or wilde,im not pro or anti lowe,i couldnt give a rats arse who sits in the directors box but i think you will find that the money from the sale of the players you mention has all been accounted for in numerous threads on the subject, admittedly though mistakes have been made some not all the fault of lowe. crouch and wilde took a gamble with the banks money and 'nearly paid off' is just not good enough when the money is not yours to gamble, something i believe lowe would of never allowed to happen. imo we wouldnt have gone straight back up,we were not good enough and i dont think that KP would have made the slightest bit of difference to that we are where we are because we deserve to be there.we have been punching above our weight for 20 years, long before lowe arrived. certain people who shall remain nameless have been draining the club for decades and have never been probed on the subject but for some reason lowe gets the blame for everything bad that happens to the club. just to reiterate i am not a lowe luvvie or a lowe hater and i admire your stance mate, but dont let your blind hatred of somebody spoil your support for the team you have loved all your life.there isnt going to be a change in the near future, nobody is waiting in the wings to take us to football heaven and abusing directors or throwing your scarf on the pitch will not force lowe to quit...............he cant, the banks wont let it happen until they are satisfied that their money is safe. im not having a personal dig at you,i just dont want to be sat in an even emptier stadium. Fan The Flames Posted 19 October, 2008 Share Posted 19 October, 2008 I don’t get this punching above our weight nonsense, what do people mean by this, that our natural state is the second division. We are a smallish club but not one that isn’t capable of sustaining life in the top flight, every year we were there we deserved to be there and did it with our own cash, we developed players, built a new ground, built a decent infrastructure and pulled in good crowds. That to me suggest we punched our own weight, to think otherwise is to accept defeat and believe the **** we are experiencing now is all we deserve. There’s a better existence for our club and we need someone with the vision to take us back there. It doesn’t need a big take over, just a united share ownership backing one man with a rebuilding vision. Its got to be better than this second rate strategy of Lowe and Wilde. Do you really think we need to be going through this to make amends for a bit of an overspend, we are just Lowes experiment. Its time for a change. Roger Posted 19 October, 2008 Share Posted 19 October, 2008 It wasnt crouch's fault, it was wilde's. Crouch. lawrie, trant and corbett didnt have a say. It was wilde who brought in hone, oldknow and dulieu. Hone and dulieu with wilde made the decision to gamble the money in 2006. Crouch can be judged from december 2007. In that time he made the appointment of pearson which was good and worked 5 days a week for free. He also paid for the ted bates statue out of his own money. Lets not get confused. It is lowe's fault mainly but wilde lied to the non execs.

All fair comments mate, I don't agree with them but thats the beauty of football & life, it's all about different opinions! Note: I think the empty stadium is already with us!! BARCELONASAINT Posted 19 October, 2008 Share Posted 19 October, 2008 The general apathy with Saints is a spreading disease which so far appears incurable. I used to post on here regularly but now hardly ever because i just dont care anymore. Saturdays come and i look forward to playing my own football and hardly bat an eyelid about the Saints score. My wife thinks i've been replaced by an alien, i used to swear and get really angry over results like Saturdays but now it's a case of "oh well" I'll always support Saints but the passion has gone

Anger at this experiment , i just do not accept that we could not have bought in some experience defenders pre season at a reasonable cost who could have HELPED 5/6 youngsters in the team. I am anger at those who think our CURRENT academy crop are good enough, we produce footballing midgets who are in danger of having their careers ruined by being overplayed. These are not Shearers, Wallaces, even Benalis or Maddisons who forced there way into established sides, these are young men that have been dropped in it because of one mans ego, not because they are ALL good enough

Johnny Bognor Posted 20 October, 2008 Share Posted 20 October, 2008 I know St Jason and he bleeds red and white. For him to go this far, shows how bad things are. What is worse is that it won't get better any time soon.
