Needs flash player which iPad doesn't have...

Find an app called Iswifter and use that as your Internet Browser, bit fiddly and not as reliable as Safari but allows flash and hey presto Saints Player works with it..

That's my workaround/fix anyway...

I only registered yesterday and signed up for the year at £35 direct debit

Then I realised it was ****e on the iPad

They won't cancel the registration

I thought there would be a 7 day cooling off period but they said **** off its to late basically lol

You can console yourself with the thought that the club at 35 quid closer to signing Messi for next season :D

On my iPhone and using an Internet explorer app who's name escapes me the quality is shocking.

On my Blackberry Playbook and PC it works perfectly. Just have to be careful about the device you try to access it from.

I had a run-in with the webmaster who claimed the quality, before the start of last season, had been raised to "near" HD. I reckon it's much closer to SD than HD and I try viewing it on a high end laptop.

Interesting !!!!

I was on a annual subscription which came to an end last week (25th Sept).

When I logon on to see the Swansea highlights it said my subscription had not been renewed. I checked my Bank Account and there was a DD setup but NO money had been taken.

I sent an email to player.services@Football-League.co.uk and received the following reply

Unfortunately Southampton will not allow us to sell 12 month subscriptions anymore.

I then sent an email to Customer Services at Saints and received the following reply (the bold bits are mine)

We are sorry to see that you did not receive a full explanation from FLI regarding the changes. Saints Player is provided and administrated by FLI Interactive, and not by us at Southampton Football Club. I believe their contract is due to end in under a year, hence why they are no longer offering a 12 month subscription. We don’t know how they have or intend to communicate changes to fans, and we do not have access to their database.

Our apologies for any disappointment and inconvenience. We would urge you to keep an eye on our website for updates on what we can offer moving forward.

My guess is that Saints are going to bring video highlights "In House" at the end of the season ?? but I might be wrong.

What I don't understand is why Saints Player starts so late for many away games. For Saturday's game against Chelsea, for example, it didn't begin until 5 minutes before kick-off. Why?

Ah, I just thought it was my slow internet connection. I logged on 30 mins before KO as usual, but got no commentary.

I then found a Sky Sports stream and watched that instead.

Saints have continually pushed things out on 'free-view' media such as YouTube, because, simply put, they don't like the club website or the 'player' set-up.

That's all handled by a group called 'Perform', but they've been made largely redundant because Saints just whack their content out across their social media channels.

I believe there are (and have been for a while) plans for a bespoke official website which will be made as Saints want it. It was always a case of waiting to end the current contract.

There must be a hefty cancellation clause in the existing contract otherwise, surely, the club would have just paid up the contract in order to accelerate the process?

I can't say for sure but from what I heard it was a pretty difficult contract to get out of. I don't know if that means financially, or otherwise.
