I wonder how Luke Shaw feels .... not playing week in week out, not in the England Squad or PL team of the Season, going backwards in personal developement, but with a big fat bank account which will see him never having to worry about where the money for his next Nando's will come from for the rest of his life.

I've heard they are a lot cheekier in Manchester than Southampton. Could have been part of his decision.

Had a quick hello with him at Gatwick the other morning, he was off to Puerto Banus. You'd think Utd would be protecting their investment, but he's off living up with his mates..

back to the Ryan Bertrand thread . fellas.........

I'm sure RB feels better for the chance to vent his disappointment at Chelsea, and very pleased to hear that he's settled in and feels good about life at SMS.....

but ....fun time over now Ryan, you've got closure, so try and put that all behind you and let's look forward to seeing the great full back we know you will become......

and now that Ash is totally out of the picture, you've got the chance to get the England no.3 shirt ----and keep it.

It is really good to hear, but most players seem to prefer the money, to playing every week and this is where we lose out. Of course football players careers could end with one serious injury, so they need to secure the best contracts and deals, but I do feel that the money and prestige is more important than playing for most.

I notice Sky have spun it to "Chelsea shouldn't have let me go", implying he wanted to stay. Typical.

Not many ways to spin this: "I know personally I should still be there, I have the capabilities, and I should still be playing but it is no drama."
