It leaves Ukraine totally exposed to future Russian aggression and rewards them for their initial invasions into sovereign territory. It also gives Putin the green light for future action elsewhere. Do you think that European leaders would be happy with this deal?

Do you think that European leaders would be happy with this deal? Where do you think Russia is going when done in Ukraine? European leaders appear almost irrelevant to this given we have, for decades, sub-contracted out our own defence to the USA.

badgerx16 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Trump really wants that Nobel Peace Prize, and he will shit on anybody that is in his way. 1

We had one of the worlds most formidable military base, and an empire, at the time vastly different situation from now. Reality is Ukraine is being destroyed, inch by inch, and losing 1000s of troops quickly (as are Russia) if we really wanted to stop this, Europe (inc the UK) could have sent land and air forces in years ago. We all could have sailed into the Black Sea years ago, and put NATO assets in the way. none of that has happened and the angry words from Europe continue. Edited 2 hours ago by AlexLaw76

badgerx16 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Nic, this level of 'debate' is why people think you are a grade A whinging cunt.

Why do you think Poland are worried, as are various other members of the former USSR? Estonia? Latvia? Lithuania? Moldova? Putin didn’t stop at the Crimea. What means you will think he will stop after this? Edited 1 hour ago by sadoldgit

I will only post this once on the matter for this reason. I'm sure they will read this. I'd say take a breath, step away from this forum, and logically consider whether your quality of life could improve if you find someone to speak to, potentially a professional listener or therapist. You don't have to answer to this or any post, you don't have to feel defensive, we don't know each other and never will, just take it as well meaning advice and give it some thought next time you are feeling calm. I can highly recommend a social media break too as it seems like it is a trigger point for you. The voices on this forum should ultimately be an irrelevance, and the frustration you feel could just be a project of conflict within yourself - something that you can work through with the help of others. Just something to think about. Wasting your time with this plum I’m afraid. Close to one of the most stupid arrogant twats on the planet. Understands fuck all and desperate to fight it. Even SOG puts him in his place

They were probably expecting Trump to man up at some point, given that the US are the only nation that could force the issue. They still hold the cards, as Trump would put it, and if the US pulls the plug on support for Ukraine, what can NATO do without the possibility of starting WW3? Putin only understands brute force and he knows that we (Europeans) are shit scared of escalation. That is why we can’t let this happen. He will only come back for more and he knows that he has Trump on his pocket.
