With regard to the Irish crash, I read that it is only in the last couple of months that the Gardai have undergone training in pursuit driving.

Young people who endanger others and kill themselves....the insanity and recklessness of it all is beyond words.

My thoughts are with the families of PC Tom Clough and PC Matthew Blades - and for the innocent victims of the Irish crash.

Ive just read that the two coppers who were killed weren't even part of the chase. The car was using false plates and was being chased by other police for around 7 minutes, they had just gone to the right side of the motor way and hit the police car with the two that were killed 10 seconds later. 5 absolute scumbags by the looks of it too

They all look little cunts in the photos. Normally they try and put forward ones where they don’t look like the little shits they obviously were. A pity they couldn’t just have hit a tree.

Yep, really awful. From the sounds of it, the police didn't follow them up the wrong way of the dual carriageway, they pursued on the correct side of the carriageway.

The police who werf hit were investigating it though as there were said to be "multiple" reports of offences at the time regarding the car.

Yes they were looking for the car, a Passat but not involved in the chase sounds like that was an armed van and pursuit cars 

one of the kids was awaiting trial for racially abusing a officer

Horrendous clip from a few months back where one of the chavs was getting off on being pursued by the police https://metro.co.uk/video/teenage-crash-victim-shared-tiktok-police-chase-months-death-3701263/

Could’ve have killed small kids, pets, elderly people on that clip. As @whelk said, horrific that they’ve subsequently taken out two police officers and left decent kids brought up properly without fathers and not just hit a tree and wiped themselves out. 

Although sometimes otherwise decent kids get in with the wrong crowd, once they’re grieving in isolation and the shock starts to subside, the parents of the 5 lads should really be reflecting on their parenting. 16 year old lads should not be unsupervised in the early hours of the morning with lads not much older than them in a car on cloned plates which can do 100 mph plus.

Update: 12 arrests made in total in relation to the A66 crash, 9 men and 3 women between the ages of 19 and 61 across Teeside today with offences including possession of an illegal firearm, and ‘participating in the activities on an organised crime group’.

Probably got the same father. Here’s an answer - your cousin was hanging around with organised crime gangs for several hours on Saturday night, with a Volvo XC60 seemingly involved in ramming properties and the Passat was tagged as being part of these activities, both vehicles on cloned plates.

Why didn’t the vehicle stop when challenged by the police and how had it ended up driving at high speed up the wrong way on the A66, killing two police officers who had nothing to do with the incident.

If that was my cousin, I’d be apologising to the copper’s families on the whole family’s behalf but these people have nothing about them whatsoever and zero sense of responsibility.
