Thankfully the plucky patriots are on it, saving us from the invasion - and while they're out their protecting us it means a few more women are safe from a beating tonight.

But if you were fleeing a warzone and ended up in pompey, you're a fucking mug.

You couldn't make it up with those inbred mutants though!

Police faced off with hundreds of protesters in Portsmouth, in the second large-scale anti-migrant protest of the weekend.

Demonstrators blocked roads and tried to prevent around 140 migrants, who had crossed the English Channel in a single dinghy, from leaving the city.

Not sure they've truly grasped the 'not in my back yard' mantra!

Seems like the migrants were desperate to get out of there though and who can blame them!

I know you jest but this is a big part of the problem the narrative will be that these people are racist, there will no doubt be counter protest but United Against Facism and the like, the only surprise Is its taken so long for this to happen, it was inevitable with the government unwilling or unable to do anything.

I’m sure there will be lots of replies now about what should they do, English people rape people as well and so on.

Maybe the local skates were there to give out leaflets, asking those on the boats (kindly) not to rape their kids? They had a long journey and probably not thinking straight. It must be so cruel on them

I think we are jumping to conclusions about anything more sinister than that.

Lefty’s and media pretend that people are racist.. no, the crime statistics around these boat arrivals are absolutely fucking harrowing and it’s a disgrace that they are being welcomed in.

Anyone that is still burying their head in the sand about it is a part of the problem.

Is there any evidence, other than apocryphal, that the rate of crime carried out by immigrants is proportionately higher than for the general population ? I do suspect that the level at which it is reported is higher.

Two things can be true.

At what point are these people being "welcomed in"? I'm not sure anyone is happy about this.

Indeed. I don't know that it is, although it doesn't alter that there's no easy solution.

The French all but escorted that Pompey boat into our waters. What were then supposed to do with it? In practical terms, what could and would a Nigel run country have done? What do the protesters expect?

I'm interested to see the demographics on it, as we know a lot of these are economic migrants of a certain age. We need to ensure we are comparing to same age groups to get a proper comparison.

But one of the points here is no one is happy about it, the government are unwilling or unable to do anything but if people take it into their own hands they're accused of racism. So Dells Days point in jest is actually true, stop being a gammon and take it or you'll be told you're racist.

They literally wait with buses, clothes, all sorts.

The trafficking gangs have adverts showing how much free stuff they get from our government.

They absolutely are being welcomed in.

All true of course but what are these protesters "taking into their own hands" apart from disrupting the port and smashing car windows

What are people supposed to do, when the government gaslights them?

Rhiannon Whyte’s sister was there in support last night - she was stabbed over 20 times by an unvetted migrant

Trying to pretend these are all far right thugs doesn’t wash anymore. This is concerned working people who have had enough of rising criminality.

And yes - the invasion is planned and organized. Our government are not tackling illegals, they are ferrying them into our communities on coaches under the cover of darkness. It is an entire industry and operation. Everything they say on television and in parliament - is literally a demonstrable & evident lie.

Until it stops, what other choices do people have?

Some of the points you make are good but some are such nonsense.

The underlined bit is tragic and disgusting and is rightly called out but why are there no protests when non immigrants citizens do it?

The stuff in bold is absolute crap.

Violence against the police (who are just doing there job) and innocent people , smashing car windows, setting fire to bins and innocent bystanders houses.

The Pompey boat, explain what should have been done with it/it's passengers.

We all know the problem. What's the solution? Realistically - not a Nigel "send the boats back" unrealistic one.

It shouldn’t have been allowed to leave from France, in the first instance.

There is so, so much that could be done, that it’s a baffling question to even start to answer.

On a sliding scale from 1-10 where 1 is free-for-all, unsafe borders that incentivises criminals, and 10 is the most secure border where all attempts are sunk, we are currently at a 1.

Our government and NGOs actively encourage it at this point, endangering us all.

Relevant points addressed...the main point is that you can't identify a solution either.

Going after the traffickers, being tough on France, implementing deterrents, detention centres, sending them back, properly vetting people when they arrive, sending them elsewhere , etc etc

Just fucking absurdly loads of stuff which would have been common sense only a couple of decades ago.

Instead we have to listen to cretins like you who pretend there’s nothing that can be done, when actually there is just a lack of will to do anything to protect us, and a treasonous dereliction of duty from countless faceless bureaucrats

this is how the Italians dealt with it

https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/2002535/italy-completely-stops-migrant-boats

as I said above thought this question always comes up no one has the answers but then we aren’t elected politicians to come up with solving what it clearly a huge issue

It’s not about comparative stats though. In absolute terms there are more crimes due to more immigrants and consequently more victims. What also boils my piss as well is lack of respect for parking regulations too - and yes I am judging on skin colour and aware many other white British scumbags park in disabled bays etc.and many immigrants are respectful and obedient to our laws. Feels like a hell of lot of the organised crime types around who don’t have honest jobs and park anywhere with no consequences.

It’s just a steady decline into a low trust society due to importing so many criminals

The entire system for legal migration is a scam at this point too:

IMG_3540.thumb.jpeg.10664be0177beafbe4aed2eef5104dec.jpeg

And yet people still want to pretend that there are no issues, I don’t get it, I really don’t.

How much of a crime addled, poverty-ridden shithole does the country have to become before people think “there’s a problem”

Let's break that down.

Traffickers. So put plod on the ground in foreign countries? Unrealistic.

Tough on France. How? Realistically..

Deterrents. Example?

Detention centre. In principle, yep, but everyone will moan about where they go, and the cost.

Send them back. Where they came from last or first? How do we make, France for example, take them?

Vetting people. They'll say what the script is, but that doesn't stop the arrival anyway.

Sending elsewhere. Rwanda mark 2. Who'll have them?

"Cretins". Grow up. Everyone knows theres a problem, and a person highlighting that there's no easy / enforceable solution makes them realistic, not a cretin.

I think you're right that there's a lot we can't do within existing laws but there is a lot we could be doing to improve the situation. As a minimum I would change the law so that anyone who comes over on a small boat is committing a criminal act and absolutely no one will be able to settle here if they have come via that route. I'd be putting a lot more pressure on countries where these people have come from to take back their citizens. Political and financial pressures to comply.

There ARE easy solutions.

As above, Italy are tackling it.

Nayib Bukele in El Salvador went tough on crime and turned it from the most dangerous country in the world to one of the safest in a few years.

Of course there are solutions. People in power are just to weak and lazy to do anything. We don’t even do the bare minimum here.

This is one of my main ways to stop it - allow applications from abroad and add that law and it should stop people making that journey.

It is funny how people choose to ignore anything that is being done to tackle it. Not nearly enough IMO but such bs spouted by the usual conspiracy nuts as they think it is someone’s purposeful plan. Double the customs and border staff and the double the police force and put taxes up

At last a sensible contribution. Where are people held though after arrival? Detention centre with basic needs met? I'd have no issue with that.

That's effectively what we have now anyway.

It would take a long time, a lot of money and a huge amount of space to build a specific centre to deal with 30k people.

Yep, Suella Braverman was the main culprit behind the spike in small boats, which has now halved, by her cutting off legal routes to apply from overseas, and relying on the preposterous and expensive Rwanda fig leaf which would have made only 2-3% difference for an enormous outlay. Her Border Force cuts led to an unprecedented backlog of cases. What a fucking moron she is.

Add in an automatic rejection for coming on a small boat (we know they’re economic migrants which aren’t in areas we need) and that will see a further decline in volumes and further cut off the smuggling gangs opportunities on top of the boat engine seizures, arrests and imprisonments.

Or, rejoin the EU and take on the Euro. See how much people really care about illegal migration.

I'd be happy with that, I've got €87 left from Greece I need to use.

People ask what the solution is and then whatever is suggested people immediately say its unrealistic, not workable etc

Its a completely pointless discussion.
