Ticket releases for August and Portsmouth games?

My son got a ticket after logging on at 9.30. He couldn’t select a seat but got auto select row B Northam block 41 👍

Can anybody clarify about purchases using friends and family ?

Once your membership number has been used by a linked account to buy  for the pompey game, the tickets then become unavailable to you.

But does that ticket eventually show as a purchase on your account if it was actually bought by a linked family/friend account  ?

It counts on your account and will appear in your ticket app, but shows on their purchase history as transaction on their account

I had to call up due to an issue, interesting recorded message says please note Wrexham and Ipswich games are already completely sold out. Thought exchange would open for Wrexham? Is that not a thing this season ?

I've managed to get tickets for me and my young kids right next to away fans, we're knitting a friendship scarf that we'll pass across the divide and try to break the circle of hate #footballfriends

Yeah will be interesting to hear what they’re paying. Should be at least £40 if matching equivalent seats in the Kingsland North (Itchen North £45) unless both clubs have agreed to a reciprocal price for both games.

If you want to sit/stand alongside the skates in the Kingsland it’s £55 and will probably be the last tickets to go.

If we are having a good season I have a feeling no game is going to make it to members unfortunately, unless we get a cup tie with a massive allocation.

If you look on the Away tickets board there are already a few people who "can't make it" I can guarantee there will be plenty who are just doing it to boost away purchase numbers

Couldn’t care less if they do TBH if the club don’t care nothing can be done and I try and get aways as my allocation entitlement if I miss out tough or I try and get from others. The two posts being sold here are genuine .

Things in life happen that sometimes are more important than football or work gets in way, if fans want to pass on why is that wrong ?

There are plenty of away games to go to and get number up.

Lucky if you can log in - a mate of mine couldn't buy Pompey yesterday despite meeting the criteria, I struggled to buy Northampton despite meeting the criteria. The ticket website generally is shocking, especially if buying on a mobile which 99% of people do. It just isn't fit for purpose.

There are plenty of away games to go to and get number up.

If people are doing so systematically then it means they still have the record on their account and can jump the queue ahead of someone who has actually attended more games.

So Wrexham haven't even sent out their first load of away tickets yet and i've already received my tickets for Northampton away, and bought mine for Ipswich and Watford away, and only paid £1.50 per ticket booking fee compared to the £9 booking fee their fans have paid.

Just had a look and ther are around 2,100 left. The blocks either side of the away end don't look to be selling well.

Thanks, I'm surprised its that many, once you take out season ticket holders, away allocation and corporate can't be that many left for members, perhaps 5k , would have expected those to go in a day for this one

Think the club will see a fair bit of that this season, once again it's a balls up due to moving the away fans. If they'd been in the old spot the two bits to the side of them would've been the first to sell out.

But by moving the away fans and then having one of the more expensive parts one side and the family stand the other people are obviously going to be nervous about buying there for games that could be a bit more lively.

I imagine for teams like millwall it'll be the same because the home fans who'd naturally sit there won't want to.

Unfortunately, from the clubs perspective that’s exactly what they want. They don’t want the agro that Block 42/Block 1 use to cause. 

In hindsight, moving the away fans is probably the worst thing to happen at St Mary’s since it opened. Well except Will Smallbone.

Just don't have any Pompey fans at all. Keep it simple to police, more Saints fans can watch the derby, no riot in town, no trouble at train stations or car parks. Could save the £250k on police bill and get a striker from leaque 1

Quite decent to have sell outs already for 

Wrexham 

Northampton 

Ipswich 

Watford 

Plenty left still for Stoke at home

One of the top ones on my list that as for some reason i've never done Hull away, weekend after the skates so i'm expecting a bit of a drop off in numbers for that one despite the northern games usually being some of the best

That’s a lot of miles and time on the road over a couple of weeks so understandable if fans will be a bit more selective on away games. If we’re seeing sell-outs (or near enough) for those then that will speak volumes of our travelling support.

A workmate booked tickets for the skates yesterday and said there was still over 1500 tickets left (again half of them in the blocks either side of the aways). A bit surprising.

For the last decade or so there always seems to be about at least 1000 at northern games like these, with no doubt a lot of them living North of the Watford gap.

I guess selling out depends on the allocations we take. We're not taking both tiers at brammall lane for instance. Usually plenty of space at 'ull too if required.

If the theory holds that they can only get a ticket by going by coach I assume a lot of the trouble may be averted, saying that there are always morons who will make their own way to the city looking for troble. After the last couple of games v them we had a lot of banning orders and so that will deter a lot of casual fans looking for trouble. As always I assume the bloke with the bell will somehow find a way to not follow the rules

Re the skates, I doubt we have all that many members for this season, and nobody except members who satisfy the criteria can buy ATM. I'd imagine they will go to season ticket holders and a few other groups ( non members with an away ticket purchase history ?) next.  At a guess, the cost of buying pompey, ( not cheap) one of the home games and a membership all together  may be putting a few people off.

Good points. I guess the number meeting the current criteria to buy tickets for this may have hit a ceiling for those eligible.

Yeah not expecting to sell them all out, Sheff Utd only give the lower tier for league games but still 3,000 and can't see us taking that many midweek in between two other northern games days apart.

I think Hull and Derby offer around 2,500 which is more likely being Saturdays. The last time we played Hull a couple of years back we took 2,000 and 3 days later took a similar number to Preston midweek which was also live on Sky. And I remember good numbers travelling north back in the League One days.
