Bakovnetski Posted Sunday at 19:18 Posted Sunday at 19:18 (edited) So many people have a second team to follow. Mine used to be Aldershot now it's Brackley. Locality and all that. Edited Sunday at 19:18 by Bakovnetski 1
Saint Marky Posted Sunday at 19:22 Posted Sunday at 19:22 10 hours ago, Mr Saints said: Don’t let the door hit your vagina on the way out pal. Fukin hate those misogynistic doors.
Saint_clark Posted Sunday at 19:38 Posted Sunday at 19:38 Not a switch of allegiance, but I would encourage anyone disillusioned with modern top level football to go down their local non-league club with some mates. Get to know the owners, the players, share a drink with them after the game, travel on the players bus to away games on occasion. It's genuinely a much better experience these days. 2
Gloucester Saint Posted Sunday at 21:39 Posted Sunday at 21:39 If Russell Martin returns there will be 10-15k supporters at least taking a long-term break from the club and many never returning.
BARCELONASAINT Posted Sunday at 22:15 Posted Sunday at 22:15 After a totally depressing weekend and then seeing we have sacked WS only to be linked with some utter garbage i needed cheering up. I hadn't seen this thread before tonight but it's comedy gold. Congratulations to the author of the thread for being willing to be vilified by every true Saints supporter by posting such nonsense......the replies have made me chuckle for ages! "Just fuck off and die" i think was my favourite pmsl 1 1
bpsaint Posted Sunday at 22:26 Posted Sunday at 22:26 Got some bites this one didn’t he? To be fair I’d either just try my best to try and not care anymore, or I’d just go and watch Eastleigh or Sholing.

So, if you were to just fuck it and switch, who would you move to support instead for the next few years of expected wilderness before making Saints your primary again if we march to an upward curve? Personally I live near Brighton these days but there is a big disconnect between their legacy fans and those who think Pascal Gross is their best ever player so they are ruled out. To spite, I think I would go Palace. Pretty PL settled so unlikely to be a direct rival. Good Holmesdale forum. Easy to get to a few games a season, better chants and Punch played well for them too. Will probably see how the rest of this season goes but if its dire, SR stay and Glasner cooks with CP then an easy switch to make and can swap back if fortunes reverse. When the St Mary’s crowd sings "Southampton till I die", I'm guessing you don't join in. 1
Midfield_General Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago It's a strong pitch and you've convinced me. So, who to devote myself to next? For me, it's a toss-up between Al-Ettifaq, Shanghai Shenhua, wherever Ronaldo CR7 goes next or just spending Saturday afternoons having some alone time in a personal underground wankden dedicated to Gianni Infantino.
SaintNate Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Eras and players come and go, but my love for this club will never wander. UTS
derry Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago As a schoolboy I watched Saints in the old Div 3S, then Div3, Div2, Div1, FA Cup Winners, Premier League then up and down. They're still my team. 1
OldNick Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) I was thinking this morning how sad Iam to have this bloody football club so ingrained in me that I had trouble sleeping the last couple of nights, as I was fretting who was to be the next manager, or how we turn it around. 57 years of going / supporting this bunch of overpaid blokes kicking a bag of air around!! If only the club had been called McDonalds, or SOfa Direct Icould have left them years ago, but my civic pride and it being called Southampton has imprisoned me !! Edited 6 hours ago by OldNick 2
franniesTache Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I think the original poster is spot on but my choice is to switch to watching the Baller League instead because those guys COOK! And it's not that deep
Hoggins Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It is more hard to be loyal when your team is no longer trying to win football matches and instead trying to trade players for profit 1
