EssEffCee Posted Wednesday at 09:32 Posted Wednesday at 09:32 (edited) Nice to see the club taking a big chunk out of our smallest away allocation of the season. This was at 9:20ish. Edited Wednesday at 09:32 by EssEffCee

New ground for most of us , can't imagine many went for the league cup game in Sept 1979 3
warsash saint Posted Wednesday at 09:53 Posted Wednesday at 09:53 (edited) That's ridiculous ... i am on 28 aways so gonna be fuming if i miss out on this one!! Edited Wednesday at 09:56 by warsash saint 1

This was at 9:20ish. That’s really poor. Without counting the dots the retained seats look something like 25% of the allocation. If the club must retain seats for whoever they deem worthy then maybe it should be done in proportion to the overall allocation. This appears disproportionate. If previous away games are anything to go by some of these seats will be empty on the night. This whole business is something which our fan advisory board should take up with the club but they’re more interested in busing people around Portsmouth. Really wanted to go to this match. Zero chance.

An Arsenal fan i know said they lost 400 out of their 1300 at Bournemouth, seems certain club sponsors/ executive box holders etc get to put in for tickets as and when they want them, Saints might be the same 1
CheshireSaint Posted Wednesday at 11:54 Posted Wednesday at 11:54 Might be worth considering for those that want to, when Chelsea played there recently in the FA Cup, they mobbed up in Chester (my home town) and took full advantage of £3 pint all day without loads of plod giving them mither. Plenty of them enjoyed it so much, they stayed and watched the match on the tele. They were well behaved too as everyone in Chester was also supporting Chelsea that day. Only 15 minutes on the train with trains running every 20 - 30 mins. Chester is also a nice city, whereas Wrexham simply isn't. You'd be made very welcome. 1
die Mannyschaft Posted Wednesday at 12:01 Posted Wednesday at 12:01 Ridiculous allocation especially once the free bees have gone. Why cant the club buy corporate seats or a box/porta cabin for staff.
LGTL Posted Wednesday at 12:20 Posted Wednesday at 12:20 I’m on 27 so not holding out too much hope looking at that!

I reckon you'll be fine. Can't be huge amounts of people in the next few categories and a few will swerve it being midweek. 1

I know Wrexham quite well and Chester is much the better option in which to stay and eat and drink out. 1

Its also in school holidays off the back of Easter bank holiday, might make it tricky for some (or perhaps easier taking time off etc)

All true fans will be travelling this way decked head to toe in club attire, using SFC branded flask, lunch boxes and back pack. 1

Chez Posted Wednesday at 15:59 Posted Wednesday at 15:59 3 hours ago, EssEffCee said: I think it was mentioned in the most recent meeting notes. The minutes read: The club have been working with football ops to reduce the number of empty seats (player comps) and to put these back on sale. FAB asked how many tickets are made available to non-paying attendees. MSilv confirmed numbers available in line with EFL regulation.
Appy Posted Wednesday at 16:01 Posted Wednesday at 16:01 My email about the game arrived at 09:17 this morning telling me I could buy a ticket at 9:30. Not the biggest heads up. 1

I am guessing they just offer the same amount to each player/official no matter what the away allocation size is.

If they do then they don't have any reason to return them other than good manners. With such a small allocation it would be nice if the club insisted tickets were used, made any 'freebies' pick them up at Wrexham, and then they could see if they were actually used. Seeing as away tickets bring no money into the club, I imagine the club will do fuck all (I mean, what do they care, and why would they want to make it hard for players families and sponsors?) and it will be all forgotten in a few weeks time. If I had 26 aways and didn't get a ticket, I'd be a bit narked if I saw an empty seat in that away end.
