Just a word for the players from this season. The coaching team and leadership of the club can all do one, they've messed it up completely, but the players made much of this season enjoyable, some great performances, amazing team spirit, some superb comebacks and a team I actually liked.

I feel sorry for them that after all their hard work all round, they won't get their day out at Wembley (again) and potential rewards. I'd love to think many will stay and try again next season with a new coaching and leadership team in charge, but completely understandable for any that want out, it would be a huge shame.

So thanks players, you guys were brilliant. Big thanks to Larin and Peretz too for coming in on loan and making a huge difference later on in the season.

If I were one of the players, I would take a long hard look at the club's direction over the last few years and pay my agent overtime to find a new club.

You could in theory say it was a strong season in terms of bringing players in, albeit some took a while to get going.

However, all of this debacle brings a stain on the club.

How many are going to be here next season?
Who knows.

It’ll be interesting to see how quickly that “love for the club” evaporates after a scandal like this.

Haven’t genuinely enjoyed players or a team for many many seasons. But this team I genuinely enjoyed… great characters and team spirit and could get behind them.

Scienza, Peretz, Jander particularly love watching them play… all very likeable and easy to get behind.

THB, shea, azaz, Stewart etc

We’re going to fucking lose them all and replace with with mediocre.
And it stinks and it makes me so fucking angry.

losing Leo will be especially tough.

I almost don't want to ask this...but is there a chance the players will have known about the spying, too? Could Ekert have shown footage during their pre-match prep?

The first half of the season wasn't memorable, but the second half certainly was. I will always remember enjoying watching Leo, such a talented player. Jander is going to be top too, will be keen to watch his career.

THB turned it around with us and became a really solid captain when required, bit of a shithouse - sure, but all teams have a shit house. Hopefully he gets into the England squad in the next 12 months.

For the guys out of contract, I don't blame you for not wanting to stick around. Bree, Peretz, Larin, Stewart - thank you. We tossed Bree out in the summer, and then brought him back in to tarnish him over this - he didn't deserve any of this.

But it's been a ride with some of these guys, the last few months have been fun. I'm sure they've enjoyed it too, but they must be fuming to now realise they've just played a season of friendlies.

Normally don't feel much emotion for millionaires who kick bags of wind around, but I do genuinely feel sorry for this bunch.

Going from getting tonked last season, to a poor start with snake oil Still, then rising like a phoenix over the last few months (taking a couple premier league scalps and all) for it all now to crumble because the most idiotic shit...

Would not blame any of them for wanting out.

the players are under contract, the ones that leave will go on our terms and we will rebuild, its not the end of life as we know it despite as  some would have you believe.

Their performances in recent months have been admirable to brilliant and they are not to blame for this. Us fans get most of my sympathy, especially the season ticket holders and away fixture devotees, but the players come second. I really wanted to see what they could do in the Prem, with a few additions and SR and Tonda have stripped that away from us.

The players have been incredible over the last few months. It actually felt like we were shifting as a club. Our core of the team were brilliant and lots of players had matured from last season and developed into excellent players.

I really thought we would beat Hull- this would be the start of something great. An additional 3/4 first team players would make us into a comfortable mid table premier league side. We had exciting players, passionate and individuals who we could get behind.

The premier league is probably at its weakest next season but the EFL is going to be brutal with so many big hitters competing.

The players have given it their all. The hectic schedule, playing matches with short rest period, given us some excellent games, last minute winners and playing some of the best football in recent years. This has all been ripped from us due to having absolute muppets in charge of the club.

This is going to be a long summer. The rebuild is going to be huge but we will be back. It may take years to get that feeling again, but strap in fellas and let’s see where this takes us. Keep your chin up, we go again.

I dont think the players will have known or to what extent was going on.

Who knows.

the core players will have left anyway but the likes of Stweart and Bree will easily have offers to move away and got an easy reason to do so. That will be a shame.
