Lee On Solent Saint Posted Wednesday at 21:28 Posted Wednesday at 21:28 Not sure that experiment really worked to be fair. If we need cover for Bree would rather see Roerslev having a go. 3

So that is a red flag for a player described as a centre back who can play right back. Would be useful to see how he does as a centre back. Don’t agree with this at all. Firstly he played at right back for Forest last season so the idea he can’t play there just isn’t true. It was 45 minutes and it’s just a kid a little too eager to jump in that found himself caught a couple of times. Not sure how anyone can conclude something so definitively with such a short sample size and rather than wild conclusions it can just be he didn’t play as well as he’d/we’d like instead. 4
SuperSAINT Posted Wednesday at 21:55 Posted Wednesday at 21:55 Mads Roerslev is the modern day Vegard Forren now isn’t he?
Lord Duckhunter Posted Thursday at 08:49 Posted Thursday at 08:49 Defensively he was dodgy yesterday. But towards the end of the first half he looked ok going forward. Quite convenient for Tonda that Manning was also booked. Taking both full backs on a yellow off isn’t quite the confidence hit being hooked at HT on your debut is. The reality is he should probably have been replaced anyway, regardless whether on a yellow or not. No harm done, and hopefully he’ll learn from the experience….. 4

Exactly how I saw that, the yellows were a good excuse on both sides without damaging his confidence. Lad hasn't played a competitive match for a while, I think he'll be useful and grow into the team. Telling he was used ahead of Roerslev though ... 1
saintwbu Posted Thursday at 08:53 Posted Thursday at 08:53 Worry for me was he looked really, really slow. Hopefully that’s rustiness that he will shake - however i think he’s destined to be Bree back up for the entirety of his spell here, so not sure we will see much of him.

chownie20 Posted Thursday at 14:26 Posted Thursday at 14:26 IF we are giving him more mins Id let him play next to KS and put Stephens RB. WTF has Roeslev done wrong (but also whats he done right I guess)

I thought he grew into the game tbh. Norwich are a dangerous side and score a lot of goals - we seemed to handle that threat fairly comfortably.

I don't think he has quite recovered/or fit enough after his Achilles injury yet, hasn't had a decent run out under Tonda, would be interesting to see if any better than he showed under Still. 1

He will never get a run out u less we have no players left. The manager is clearly not having him.
