The Godfather Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 So would Wotte like to explain who is going to score the goals to have any chance of us staying up?
fanimal Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 Most clear statement we have had from anyone at the club for a long time, on a range of topical issues.
John B Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 Is there some law stipulating you have to be a complete retard to post comments on the Echo's site? Yes he is and not doing that well
krissyboy31 Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 Wotte says he will be in charge and has a plan for next season, if we stay up. Presumably that means he'll be gone if we go down?
The Godfather Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 I would imagine he's hoping his strikers, Saga and Euell, will score goals. As they have done before. If they can't, then we'll go down. If they can, we'll still need DMG, Surman, and Paterson to chip in with a couple I imagine. Trouble is no of them score often enough. Under Weststand Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 Wotte says he will be in charge and has a plan for next season, if we stay up. Presumably that means he'll be gone if we go down? Is it a cunning plan, as cunning as a fox that's just been made professor of cunning at Oxford university.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 So would Wotte like to explain who is going to score the goals to have any chance of us staying up? Don't worry the football internet experts on here have stated that we don't need anyone on loan to score the much needed goals to keep us up. hypochondriac Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 Why is it Wottes fault if he can't get a loan in?
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 Not great news, especially when you consider Forest are out there trying to strengthen. It'd be particularly galling to see Blackstock go there, when it would have been good to have seen him come back here, if we had the readies. The news from Wotte also completely spoils tomorrow, when I'd have been logging onto the internet every 5 minutes to see which global superstar(s) we'd been able to recruit!!! Ponty Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 At least we won't have to gel the forward line, eh?
Chez Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 it's blatently obvious that they have tried to bring someone in but they have been unable to afford the right calibre. The players they could afford are not better than what we have.
SNSUN Posted 25 March, 2009 Share Posted 25 March, 2009 I see Forest are after Dexter Blackstock from QPR. Would be something if we could beat them to it. Still...

Still... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/nottm_forest/7960639.stm Damn you beat me to it! warsash saint Posted 26 March, 2009 Share Posted 26 March, 2009 Now confirmed I hate QPR...not content with losing to all the clubs around us, they are now lending out their top goal scorer http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1603351,00.html
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 26 March, 2009 Share Posted 26 March, 2009 Damn! Gonna need to score at least twice, up at the City Ground, on the last day of the season, because he's bound to score against us!

SNSUN Posted 26 March, 2009 Share Posted 26 March, 2009 I'm quite worried by the loan signings of other clubs today. Blackpool have signed Lee Hughes, a striker that can put them away, Forest brought in Blackstock too. Two good loan signings IMO.

WATERSIDEIFASAINT Posted 26 March, 2009 Share Posted 26 March, 2009 I fear our lack of activity in the loan market will be our death warrant this season. All our rivals have strengthened and I just can't see our strikeforce scoring enough goals to keep us in this division!? I now feel very pessimistic about our chances of staying up

I now feel very pessimistic about our chances of staying up Although there is also the argument that these new players will need to gel with their new team mates and may create an unsettled feeling, I do think our experience last season shows you what some good loans can achieve. Wright, Perry & Lucketti etc certainly played their part in helping us stay up (in much the same way that Saiejs has improved us since he arrived), so would have liked to have seen some movement. Forest look to have used the window well, but not sure what our other main rivals, Plymouth and Norwich, achieved????

I now feel very pessimistic about our chances of staying up Same and have been saying it for a while that our relegation rivals are all making efforts to stay up while Saints do nothing. Lack of goals is going to be very costly but alot of people including those at the club seem to think we don't need anyone.

Norwich got young striker Mooney in on loan who has scored some vital goals recently. Plymouth got exerienced midfielder Fletcher in from Palace.
