corsacar saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 He is a massive Saints fan[ As I put on match thread], he was hoping Saints would hijack his Wolves move at eleventh hour- Fact. ottery st mary Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 Rupert and the Dutch crowd...JP,Wotte and Big Kim and later Gorre were not listening To Hockaday..moved out..why? OR Henderson ..DEMOTED..WHY? So our knowledge and decision making was left with NO knowledge of the time of day regarding CCC and other leagues.....Rupert is or was the kingmaker...Not interested outside of his own circle including a few of the Rupert Tiller girls on here. Now if he had listened to many of the experienced posters on here he could have had some real direction.......Mind you one size was a reasonable aquisition and that was suggested by an Englishman.......McClaren in Holland. Wise Owl told me.
Smirking_Saint Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I liked one size, can't believe we let him go. Can't believe some of the past decisions as far as releasing players and crap aquisitions, problem is different managers have different ideals and we have had far too many new and arguebly conflicting ideas that have catastrophically all mixed in the ways that they have attempted to stamp their own personal ideals on the squad. ottery st mary Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I thought he signed for Wolves at the end of last season? Lowe took over the club and rid us of Pearson....He already had JP and Wotte to be Managers..commenced 30th May? Whilst Lowe was messing around games re Pearson...Vokes was offered to Saints...But Lowe would not commit as it was left to new management team decisions who had no idea of English players..(Not even Pulis..not JP decision at all) Vokes wanted and hope to come to Saints BUT Wolves pushed it through Bournemouth to Wolves 23rd May? IMHO of course....Maybe it wouldn't have mattered and I am just beating Rupert for prevaricating in MAy 2008...But he got what he wanted...not Vokes but the likes of Spiderman, Gasmi and Pulis....Rupert decisions. By all means give Lowe a hard time for mistakes he made BUT: VOKES SIGNED FOR WOLVES FOR £250k IN MAY 2008 This was before Lowe retook the reigns.....and that means Crouch, Pearson and co decided not to pursue Vokes. Still never let the truth get in the way of your witch hunts.

Still never let the truth get in the way of your witch hunts. Or perhaps Crouch and Pearson were told by Lowe not to buy or sell any players as he and Wilde were about to take over? So, indirectly, Lowe was to blame for it. I firmly believe with the Lymington links between Crouch and Vokes that we would have got him.

They way they are playing I think he also advises Charlton part time:D I am determined to find out who he is:rolleyes: I have written to Interpol and Crimewatch and The Dutch Samaritans to identify this man who made so many big calls for The Mighty Saints....Even Ruperts Dream team on here have been kept in the dark re his identity. Huffton Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 (edited) OK so everyone commenting on here put yourself in his position. You are a lifelong Saints fan, but you are playing pro football for another club. Hey, beggars can't be choosers and anyone who gets offered a pro contract anywhere is daft for not taking it up. As it is your team are virtually guaranteed promotion. So you are playing against your boy/girlhood team who are at risk of not even existing in the very near future, and a cross comes in that you can get your head on, Do you, A, say f uck it, you are paid to score goals and ****** to everyone else or B, in the melee of the box duck out of the header and save 'your club' from certain relegation for another week, for the sake of a small wage bonus. I really did not know his total appearances but thought he had onlt started 6/8 games...sub appearances and mins not checked..Told he had a good rate for minutes actually played....Stand corrected if you have checked actual facts....Nothing sensational about it....Would like to have seen him at Saints but not to be.....But then again Kim was the boss. Vokes offered to Lowe before 23rd May So the info is....Lowe had been in discussions with Wotte and JP for some time...allegedly they stated they were ready to go before employment day and many players were in the bank or earmarked as possible aquisitions....Maybe they just didn't rate Vokes or lost the reports on him. Not sure how long each sub appearance ie mins on pitch.....many are only for short duration near end of game. Still a very good record for young lad and worthwhile signing in my view...
