Heard Andrew Lloyd Webbers name mentioned today - Rod Stewart has been in the frame for ages and it probably the oldest rumour on here! Surely can't be long now. - I know they had twenty odd days to tie up everything but surely they can do it quicker. I see a few sides have got there pre season fixtures up so it would be nice to see ours published asap!

Isn't Rod Stewart a Celtic fan?

Yes, he's a massive Celtic fan - only one of two people apparantly with life-long tickets at Celtic Park according to the paper thsi morning.I would not be surprised if he's in and around the boardroom there as well.

Yes, well done Benji, thought someone would spot that! Did Kevin Filth write that? Used to enjoy reading the UI before the internet had kicked in.

Can't remember the writer but I remember a top-down view of Ol' banjo head!

I remember an "article" on David Hirst's knee injury which explained, with helpful diagram, how his liver was growing down his leg exerting unsustainable pressure on the knee.

I did enjoy the Ugly - shame we don't have fanzines like that available anymore. That and On The March were the good ones.

Not to mention Raikkonnen in F1 and the various WRC drivers, all of whom had, and still have, a higher profile in Finland where motorsport is their national sport.

Dineage once tried to push in front of me in the queue at Homebase in Hedge End. It was busy and I was carrying a very heavy tin of white primer, some bedding plants and a load of other bits. I turned around to look at something and the next thing I knew the shiny headed caaarnt had tried to manouvre his way in front of me. I gave him a soupcon of colourful abuse and he ended up having to go to the back of the queue. He didn't say it but his look basically screamed "do you know who I am?".

To which your reply should have been .... "I not only know WHO you are, but, in addition, I know WHAT you are " ......

Rod & Billy Connelly have got seats at Celtic Park next to each other with their names on. I've actually sat there during a stadium tour. Lifelong membership as you say.

No chance of Rod buying Saints. He's well known to be tighter than a real Scotsman ! Even his family said he's a miserly git !

Rod Stewart let Saints train on his full size footie pitch in his back garden, Essex Hertfordshire way, when Strachan was here and we were playing West Ham at there's live on Sky that night.

Didn't the Ugly refer to Dineage as Fred Sewerage once upon a time?

Fred Drainage.

And Rod Stewart, Englishman, supports Scotland/Celtic/Man Utd/previously Rangers (true story)...more clubs than 19C!

So, he's been talking to WGS and both have thought it a good idea, RS buys the club, WGS manages the club, MLT DoF or Chairman, Just need Alan Shearer as first team coach and we have a full set!
