  1. The one place in the U.K. that could manufacture novichok, that specialises in research into chemical weapons, sits in between and close to two poisoning incidents. If we didn’t have the Russian narrative we would all assume an accidental release/contamination. The first poisoning, lower dose, has Russian connections The second poisoning, high dose, has dera connections. Either way, there are what appear to be surprising coincidence, but surprising coincidences happen all the time. Most likely seems to be Russia involvement, but actually there is no evidence to prove anything, so it is ripe for conspiracy theory.
  2. Does this mean the first team is relegated now?
  3. It’s a shame because if we had won maybe we could have looked towards top half, but now we can only assume relegation, and annoyingly it also means we will concede far too many goals. Oh well, maybe next year. Probably not much point watching this season, I’ll just come back next July to see how we did for the 2019-20 season in the championship. Also a shame to see that Man City will draw all their games, only just enough to escape relegation, and annoying to see Everton win the league with a record number of goals. Oh no wait, it means f all, it’s only an early preseason game.
  4. They are just upset that, after a big warning last season, the club is effectively relegated now.
  5. So you could see him crying like a baby?
  6. Same as every tournament, we go out to the first good side we play. I don’t see this England side is anywhere near as good as previous generations, and media baffles me. We scraped through against average sides with good set pieces, no more. Croatia France should be good, but France should walk it...
  7. Are these the stats of a mediocre player: 2010/11 - Championship - 44 games - 105 goals in 3775 minutes (plus 60 assists) 2011/12 - Premier League - 32 games - 45 goals in 2183 minutes 2012/13 - Premier League - 34 games - 45 goals in 2157 minutes 2103/14 - Premier League - 30 games - 35 goals in 2241 minutes 2014/15 - Premier League - 32 games - 25 goals in 1538 minutes 2015/16 - Premier League - 28 games - 50 goals in 2111 minutes 2016/17 - Premier League - 32 games - 15 goals in 1347 minutes 2017/18 - Premier League - 30 games - 10 goals in 1577 minutes ?
  8. 90% of the fans actually going to the games are women, so it seems to me it is the men who are fair weather. I’m basing this on my own eyewitness evidence of the games shown on TV, every shot of the crowd is women and girls.
  9. Trippier has been performing well, but Vrsaljko is a better player. Subasic is a better keeper than Pickford, and lovren is better than macguire. Their entire midfield would walk into the England side. BUT, mandzukic, whilst top class, is not Kane, and as a team, England look more confident. Should be a close game.
  10. Harry Kane the only England player who would make it into the Croatia first team, so we’ll do well to get through. This could be the first decent side we’ve played, which is when we usually go out, so this will be the first test of whether we are really any good, imo. Having said that, it’s not just about individuals, maybe our team spirit is better. Surely France will walk this cup though...
  11. I thought Chelsea wanted him for 10m? Just a case of crossing the t’s, dotting the i’s?
  12. Has something happened to disprove that? Don’t think anyone performed particularly well in yesterday’s game? Need to improve 3-4x to get something on Saturday.
  13. I’m just saying, if we hadn’t signed him, we wouldn’t have hit rock bottom, and maybe we’d be preparing for the championship with mope. So not our worst, because the consequences weren’t bad, in fact they were good consequences. Everything worked out. There are plenty of worse signings with worse consequences.
  14. No way, you could argue his signing contributed significantly to mope leaving, and our subsequent escape. Really, he saved us, so money well spent. If he had been a 7/10 player, we could have ended up scraping through the rest of the season with mope, and getting relegated. If you want worst signings, maybe some of redknapps could be candidates, Jamie Redknapp maybe. Or, tommy forecast was a pretty ****ty deal.
  15. It’s pronounced Elyounoussi. HTH
  16. I guess you’ve not supported England at a tournament before? It’s 16 years since we beat anyone above us in the fifa rankings, and all those teams are better than us, we’ve only beaten Tunisia and panama, and suddenly people think we can beat anyone! You have to beat the best, but take the left side and we likely have to beat Brazil, Argentina or France, AND Spain. No chance. The other half at least gives us a chance to get to the semis, maybe even a final, although I think we go out before or in the quarters.
  17. I don’t think there is a single side on the left that we would beat, Uruguay maybe. Tonight should be both teams trying to lose.
  18. Or sparky
  19. He’s decent on Fifa. At start of last season, Armstrong beast rating was 86, Maddison, 67. Armstrong had a quiet season but under mitigating circumstances. Maddison had a good season, but I think they are similar in quality. Think Armstrong could turn out the better of the two.
  20. Liverpool or us I reckon
  21. Top half? I would say; McCarthy Cedric Hoedt Bertrand Jwp Lemina Romeu Tadic gabbi Redmond They are all above average premier. I’m not saying they are very good players, but I think there is a lot of dross in the other teams that we just ignore. If you look at a list of premier league players, and remove the top 5 teams, we have as many top players as anyone.
  22. this. I'm sure we could have moved a few relatives down for a few extra millions. Les out.
  23. Lucky lucky. Maguire completely out of his depth, walker out of position, and stones unreliable. Our attack is fast but flatters to deceive. If we make it to the quarters it will be because Kane drags us there.
  24. I don't understand the majority of religious people, muslim or other, who I agree are, in general, peaceful. but if I genuinely thought the god of the bible existed, I would be all over that ****. But most people just pick and choose bits of it they like, and ignore the bits they don't - wtf? Most christians haven't even read the whole bible once, let alone scoured every word as would make sense. The sensible long game is to focus 200% on living like the bible or whatever other book, tells us to do. Unfortunately, that does include condemning homosexuals, silencing women, endorsing slavery and so on. and sometimes it allows child brides and other things that today's society finds a bit galling, and maybe the occasional genocidal revenge is ok. But no, Christians nowadays just have to go to church once a week, and pay lip service to 'being nice'. How this pale imitation of mainstream religion arrived at such a politically correct endpoint from what it started as is a bit of a mystery. Also, i think it is a shame god did so much 1000-3000 years ago, miracles and speaking to people, plagues and so on, why so quiet for the last 1000 years? if God had died 1000 years ago, not sure the world would appear any different now, he's not done anything for ages, not like he used to... If the christians of the bible were here today, they'd be setting muslims on fire and dashing their infants against the rocks.
