People watching a different game? We are far more attacking than recently, much much better. We’re not afraid to lose the ball. Can see us winning by 3 or more, we have more quality than them.

If spurs win the cup this year, I think it should be asterisked. Are there any asterisks in recent football history? I’m trying to remember one but might be thinking nfl.

Sick of this already. Stoke have had plenty of time without Hughes to stay up, he hasn’t sent them down. If you think Hughes sent stoke down, then by the same standards mope would have sent us down, not Hughes. You could equally argue he will have taken neither club down, that lambert and mope took the clubs down. (Also a stupid thing to say) AND if both clubs stay up, is Hughes the first manager to save two clubs from relegation in one season?
-
Hughes might not be the trendy choice, but he has pedigree and played under SAF, as well as for Barcelona and Bayern. Any of our players would envy his career. Doesn’t make him a good manager, but he did a decent job with Stoke, they’d be better off if he had stayed. He knows the league, and he won’t take any half arsed crap from the players, should see a much better team attitude under him, and that’s all we need to pick up some points and win a cup...

don't change anything, just keep hoping things come good, and that CP and stoke keep losing. team wise, keep picking the same formation, but place more emphasis on defending - every game should start with the intention of getting a point, and keeping a clean sheet. if we get a corner, FFS, don't pile people into the box, it just gives the opposition opportunities to score - see today's second. when we are attacking, we need to stay on point defensively. if we rush up the pitch too quickly, we leave ourselves open. if we lose the ball, we leave ourselves open. better to run backwards 30 yards and get it back to the GK than to try to take people on and lose the ball. board-wise, no need to change anything. We have some sellable assets in place, and we've shown we can get a good deal with the guys we have. 75m for VVD was a great deal. The current board is the best collection of people to get the best prices for Bertrand, Lemina, Sims.

We need to keep this down to six or less to maintain our GD advantage over the other teams in bottom half.
-
If we can hold on to 0-1 until 30mins or so we might be ok. Then we can control the game, and maybe get an equaliser second half.

Cup semi coming up Last day escape coming up Lemina Vvd is gone Away form is decent

1-3 Easy win

They do, from their keyboards...

Valuable point. Plenty of teams in it, we’re better away from home, better gd than most, we just need to hold our nerve, and not melt like a bunch of pussies. This will be a much more exciting end to a season we’ve had for a while.

Mope's savvy rewarded today, accumulating the positives, lost only one in nine, through to the FA cup next round. job well done today, his late changes made a positive effect. it's one point, but the draw is almost the same as a win. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/43094248 our league position looks a hell of a lot more positive after that goal, think this could be a crucial point come May...

depends on your definition of 'anywhere near'. you'd do well to find a top ten GK list that doesn't include Shilton's 30 year career, >1000 games, and world cup clean sheet record. xavi thought Matty was pretty good: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/barcelona-legend-xavi-reveals-obsession-with-matt-le-tissier-and-his-sickening-goals-a6972401.html and I'm sure I remember Pele saying Matty was the best in the world in the mid 90's, and would walk into the Brazil team. also 200+ goals from midfield, in a struggling side, in a top league, is pretty special. and don't forget Delgado...

Bring back four Saints players and a manager to save our season.
ashnats replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
le tiss + any other 3 manager not important would be sufficient. -
last two times this poll has been run after a defeat. I'd be interested to see the results after we win a game. (so I guess I'm saying we should repeat this poll in a month or two)

He’s been improving. Team selection is there, we will pick up points in the next five games. We should stick with him and get behind the team. There is no white knight who can change the players we have. We missed our chance to get someone in when the window opened, now we are stuck with what we have.

9th best away record in the league...

Chances are, alphabetically speaking, we will be out of relegation spots for at least day one next year.

Older people are a demographic. when they die, they are replaced by new older people. They are a part of society and deserve representation. When the next generation hits 65, their needs may be different, they may vote differently, but they must have a right to do so. People who blame older voters, e.g. for brexit, seem to view them as another species, but perhaps they have different experiences and different outlooks that are of equal value to those of young liberals in the university sphere. Also - it's just not right to remove the right to vote of someone because you disagree with their views. younger people in their 20's tend to be pursue ideologies and also follow more liberal tendencies, pursue social justice and the left, but in my experience, as you mature you recognise that fighting for equality is not about everyone being the same, but about everyone having a voice and equal opportunity. regardless of gender, race or age. having said that, i'd raise the voting age to 40. that's when life begins after all.

it would be a better sport if they allowed more violent tackling, hits above the shoulder, and if they could throw it forward, or at least have one guy who could, and if they brought in a turnover of possession, maybe after 4 attempts to move it forward a certain distance, 10 yards or something. they'd need to bring in helmets to allow for the increased violence, and it would change the make up of the squad - you'd need tall fast guys who could catch, and monstrous fat guys who can help protect your throwing guy. you would still want to run the ball, so you'd need some fast tough guys who can take a hit. and the throwing guy would be so dangerous in terms of moving the ball quickly down the field, you'd need some super quick guys on the other team who can get to him quickly, but they'd also need to get past the monstrous fat guys, so they'd also have to be big as well. but if they could do all that, that'd make it better i reckon.

Stephens was fouled for the goal, he didn’t lose his man.

At this summers prices, probably not that much, maybe 30-40m. If he continues to score, goes to the World Cup, we can maybe get 50m.
