  2. Ref’s big team bias. HTH
  3. mccarthy has come for crosses a couple of times in the last few games, and not quite made full contact / cleared the ball. Each time I felt it was because he was impeded, and now Graham Poll tells me they should all be free kicks, because players made contact with him and he was off the ground. so that's another 2-3 decisions gone against us recently, albeit with minor consequences...
  4. they say it evens out over a season. so we're due a few points from the referees in the coming games. we probably lost 3 at Chelsea last week, 2 at Watford. Unless someone can think of a single game that the ref's have swung in our favour, that's 5 points guaranteed.
  5. Absolutely no way that 38 points will be required. Look at the fixtures, there is no reason to think that Swansea or stoke are about to go on a winning streak.
  6. assuming other results go as expected, a point here will be enough. Point here, beat Swansea, and we have a good chance.
  7. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/exclusive-chelseas-fa-cup-keeper-12400469 Caballero re our game tomorrow:“more confident about going through because Our name and this club is more important in history” And Klopp, re their draw with West Brom today about their “useless” comeback: "I don't think that point will help West Brom massively, it is a complete waste of points. They don't need it, we would have needed it," Is it just me or are the so called big clubs a bunch of entitled ****heads. This, along with Alonso and Moriya pathetic antics in the prem game last week, is why I really hope we can stuff their entitlement up their @&”££ coyr...
  8. *needed. the positive spin on the draw - 4 points dropped in total (2 for stoke, 2 for west ham), as opposed to only 3 points dropped with a winner.
  9. not understand? surely we need stoke to win this to have a chance of catching west ham? if west ham win, we can finish above stoke, but will probably not catch west ham if stoke win, we still have a chance to finish above both of them, and our chances of finishing above stoke are not much worse than they were before. we need to finish above three teams, west brom + 2 others. the more teams in the mix, the better. watching stoke lose every game does not help us finish above the others. also, if everything falls right, with stoke and Swansea playing each other on the final day, we can guarantee one or both of them will drop points in the final game.
  10. 83/84?
  11. If West Brom can make up a 5pt deficit (considering gd), why can’t we? Anyone who thinks we are already down, but also thinks West Brom will finish above us needs to check their math.
  12. Still plenty to play for, keep playing the way we are and we’ll pick up the points we need.
  13. He will probably still be banned, once fa see the video.
  14. McCarthy will walk it, he’s the only player to come out of a ****ty season with any credit and his value has increased significantly. Could see him playing for Liverpool one day.
  15. That would be our worst form over seven games of the whole season. Not sure that is realistic. Realistically I’d expect a slight upturn soon, but would accept it could stay the same, which would still give us more than three points. All of the bottom half fans think their team is the worst, but only West Brom are right, the rest are as awful as each other. A dodgy penalty could be the difference, or a scrappy own goal, a slip, or a Boufal goal from nothing. It is too early to give up.
  16. 5points adrift, bottom of the table, at this point in 97...

    Other Games

Stoke, palace, Swansea, Huddersfield, West Ham, are all still in danger. Everyone seems to think palace and Swansea are these amazing teams but they really aren’t, and palace don’t have a fit striker at the moment. We can finish above all those mentioned, regardless of today’s results
  18. Might be better to tell them to support anyone but saints. Then, get them a season ticket and they can just cheer on the opposition every week. They’ll probably enjoy it more that way.
  19. I expect tadic, Redmond, gabbi, all run circles around our defence in training, it’s something else having to do it against premier league quality defenders...
  20. Clyne, as in “injured” clyne? Rather have Cedric playing than someone who is “injured”...
  21. Interesting. That certainly would explain a few things. Maybe we have a saboteur in camp? Could be worth further investigation...
  22. Although to be pedantic, the OP didn’t ask for the best EPL players, they asked for the best known players for each of the current EPL clubs, I.e. who are the best known players to have played for any of the clubs in the current EPL...
  23. It stands for English Premier League. It refers to the top soccer division in England. It is used in many countries to describe the league, including news channels and pundits abroad.

  25. McEnroe did 3x more hours on Wimbledon than Martin and gave up exclusivity to the bbc, which Martin didnt( because she’s not important enough to have it offered). He’s considered the face of bbc commentary team and is hugely popular with viewers, which Martin isn’t. She’s not as good at the job or as much of a draw. 15k is reasonable for her. They could get someone else as good for the same. 150k is reasonable for Mac. He’s one of a kind and could not be replaced, for any money. (Tim henman?!?!) This is why there is a difference.
