  1. I like the fact that PEH always wants the ball, always gives it a go. But for a professional footballer that is astonishingly bad. Go again fella.
  2. Thanks for the memories Jose. Shame it ended like it did. But We March On with 8 million in the bank and Florin Gardos as our last line of defence.
  3. Definitely shows the grass isn't always greener. I'd say Morgan, Shaw, SRL and Chambers all went backwards after leaving, Clyne + Lovren about the same, Mane, Wanyama and Nivea have kicked on. Shaw and Chambers in particular should have stayed but we got good money for both.
  4. Hoo fücking ray. And he still nearly missed.
  5. We're having a whip round for your ticket home. Seriously though - really sorry you came all that way for those three results. Still, we could still be in League One losing to Peterborough and MK Dons.
  6. Here's to six points in the next two games then. Good effort for coming over. I don't get the sarcastic applause for FF, and abuse towards Boufal and Redmond, or any other of our players, either. It just ****es me off. As long as the game is still on support the team. If you want to boo at the end and offer Fraser out for a scrap in the Northam car park afterwards be my guest. But support SFC when we're playing IMO.
  7. Morgan was my favourite player for most of the seven years he was here, but he's not coming back so let's all move on. CB and CF in, please.
  8. Sadio 1 Ronald 0. That's got to raise a smile...
  9. I thought Harry was better than Hoj fist half, but to be fair Hoj pulled his socks up after the break. I though Clasie put in a pretty decent shift all game.
  10. Worth taking the hat off again for Yoshi too. He's had a lot of stick but looks class alongside VvD at the moment. Mind you, VvD looks so composed most of the time, I'd probably look good there too.
  11. JRod shat mi against Sunderland?
  12. I presume - given that we're in the league cup semis and have played in europe - that along with man u we've played more games than any other premier league team. Can anyone who can be ar$ed to look these things up confirm that? Or am I missing something?
  13. Add Positives: Redmond coming on and playing well second half after a shocker against BeerSheva. Negatives: No goal from a centre forward again when Charlie's not on the pitch.
  14. F*ck me Yoshi could have been a hero right at the end. But we simply didn't deserve to win.
  15. I knew that would happen. We'd score at the end just to take the p!ss and rub it in. (Please get another one).
  16. The nun didn't work too well, did it?

    Gaston

I know it's only Lawrenson, but I do still wonder why we failed to get the best out of Gaston. I'll get me tin hat... Mark Lawrenson Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live Posted at 21:43 Boro have just gone very, very negative. Gaston Ramirez has been the class act in a very poor game.
  18. Based on the random (and often rubbish) football expertise of my mate in Spain - yes please.
  19. Meh. Dull draw in general.
  20. If we really dare to dream, then our model should be Atletico Madrid. They'll never be able to compete financially with Barca and Real, but they are serious players in European football. Our biggest challenge is that there are too many mega-rich clubs in the Premier league and that means it's hard to qualify for the Champions League in the first place to get access to the money that gets you to the next level. Will be interesting to see how wisely Leicester invest their financial bonanza. What we have instead of course is the academy and the players and then the money it produces... so IF we continue going about it the right way I'm optimistic that we can win some trophies in the coming years. Exciting times (and I say that after we've just lost three nil to Palace).
  21. This. And we should aim for top six again next year.
  22. It was crap, and frustratingly inconsistent. But we have to accept that Europe and the League Cup run are taking their toll. It's not that players can't play 2 or 3 games in a week, but if you have a Saints squad playing twice as many games as a Palace squad (have to check the figures re Palace but you get my point) then it's likely that performance will slip a bit. Even if it's only by a few percent on the stats that coaches look at that's enough to make a difference at elite level. Spurs weren't able to compete in Europe while staying in touch in the League this year... nor were Leicester even though they chose to focus on Europe rather than the league. So we're not alone. It's no surprise that Chelsea in particular are doing so well at the moment. Out of the EFL Cup early and no Europe and with a quality squad. Firm favourites for the title IMO.
  23. On a completely different topic, just how short was our midfield last night? Still bossed it though. We've got the shortest midfield in the league We've got the shortest midfield in the league We've got the shortest midfield in the league And the shortest is Harry Reed* We've got Harry, and Jordie, and Stevie D They're shorter than Pogba when he's down on his knees But they'll kick your arse straight into the sea When you're down at St Mary's (Repeat until someone starts singing about Pompey...) * this may not be true cos Joride is f*cking short, but I can't be *rsed to check...
  24. Boufal is absurdly talented. One he gets up to speed in the Prem, he's going to be awesome. When we sell him it will be for a lot more than Mane. Fact. (Ish). COYR
