Can someone organise a petition that we can all sign asking the club not to sell him to Liverpool? I think they need to know how the fanbase feels. Maybe a season-long loan to Brighton instead? Or failing that, how about a protest march starting on the Itchen Bridge before the Augsburg friendly and ending up in, er, I dunno, the pub?

Best thing about the game was the new 'old' kit. Main reason why I think we'll have a good season.

The Premier League has lost the plot. Clubs should be slashing season ticket prices, all ticket prices, dramatically. But I won't hold my breath. And £70 million for Virgil? Sod that, I just want to see him in a Saints shirt next season.

Next season will be the time to judge whether Hojberg and Boufal are hit or miss. I think we're all disappointed that Boufal hasn't made a bigger impact but you can see that he's got insane talent - it's whether he and the coaching staff can use it to good effect in the Prem. As for Hoj, I may be wrong but I'm pretty convinced he'll come good. I remember some of the insane sh1t some people on here used to throw at Morgan when we were in Div 2 and 3. Pied's a clear upgrade on Cuco from the brief glimpses we've seen and McCarthy's a class keeper who will hopefully be fully fit for the start of next season. I'm a Redmond fan too, even though I know he divides opinion. So overall I don't think it's been as bad as some make out.

Definitely shows the grass isn't always greener. I'd say Morgan, Shaw, SRL and Chambers all went backwards after leaving, Clyne + Lovren about the same, Mane, Wanyama and Nivea have kicked on. Shaw and Chambers in particular should have stayed but we got good money for both.
