  1. When I first saw the Gaston report I thought "Oh no, not Gaston he's so... he's so..." and that was as far as I got. We all know he's got incredible talent, but if he can only show it for about ten minutes every six games before dislocating an eyebrow or something then that doesn't cut it. I'd love love love him to succeed at Saints, because when he does do one of his ten minute cameos he's as good as we've got. But if RonKo reckons he'll benefit from a season out on loan (with no option to buy) and he's a huge success at Hull then we can take him back as a new player. COYR
  2. Best moment of the game was hearing the Saints fans who were actually there singing Pelle's name BEFORE he scored. Supporting the team, unlike some of the kn0bjockeys on here. Good effort lads.
  3. Surely means Morgan leaving sooner rather than later. Centre mid we now have Morgan, Big Vic, Corkie, JWP, Davis (sort of), Reed who has looked good every time i've seen him, plus Taider... something's got to give.
  4. Yeah 20 mill in for the Cretin Croat and 7 mil out for De Vrij would have been qualty business. Vlaar and Rojo will do fine though. But believe it when i see it.
  5. Yep, it's certainly something. It's the most insincere b*ll**** I've seen all day.
  6. Frankly he can f*ck off. Didn't want him here after his petulant self-indulgent *rsebiscuit outburst, and I hope he fails miserably. Would be nice to see one or two coming in though.
  7. He's going to be an England player (IMHO). Then maybe a Liverpool one.
  8. Celtic must hate us almost as much as we hate Liverhampton.
  9. Yep, anyone who just writes off the bags of talent he clearly has is a mentalist, or lives in a west European mountain range (or both). No-one else in our squad would have even seen the first time ball that put in Banana to score against West Brom last season, and no-one else could have run the game like he did against Villa. But this is probably his make or break season with us. Give him a proper run of games in the middle, and it could feel like we have another new marquee signing on our hands. If it still hasn't worked by mid-season, maybe that's when we have to accept that Spain or Italy just suits him more and he'll never quite adjust to the Prem.
  10. According to the Independent we got £325 million for Lallana. That is some add-ons. I'd say we mugged them. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/adam-lallana-joins-liverpool-england-midfielder-believes-world-cup-failure-will-make-him-stronger-as-he-looks-ahead-to-new-chapter-with-liverpool-9577910.html Adam Lallana joins Liverpool: England midfielder believes World Cup failure will make him stronger as he looks ahead to new chapter with Liverpool Lallana completed a 325m move to the Reds and hopes to take lessons he and his England team-mates learnt from Brazil into his Liverpool career
  11. If it's just a job, then there's no need to take out embarrassing ads in the paper dripping with insincerity. You can't have it both ways.
  12. That advert is a total embarrassment. Proper cringeworthy. Thick footballer badly advertised by no-mark PR people. Move on. If Liverpool take Lovren as well (please sell him to Barcelona Les) the opening day of the season will be tasty. I predict a Big Vic yellow card in the 3rd minute with Lallana being wiped off the top of the dug-out.
  13. I have a funny feeling that this could be a breakthrough season for Harry Reed as well. Add in JWP and we'll be OK, gutted though I will be if Morgan leaves.
  14. Come on Ronnie, get stuck in. If he plays as hard as he did on the pitch we'll be OK.
  15. Has the potential to be genuinely world class, if a bit one-footed. But never really warmed to him, he's clearly not the sharpest tool in the box, and we've just got a world record fee for a teenager. Would like to know if any sell-on clause, though. Thanks, and bye.
  16. Here's a possible eight: GK Marshall CB Caulker LB Kolojackiwhatsit AM Tadic AM Redmond ST Pelle ST Ings ST Hernandez We certainly wouldn't go down, that's for sure.
  17. I basically agree with this. But I don't think any club has ever seen three players force themselves into a World Cup squad only to sell all three before the competition has even reached the last sixteen. Even if you keep the faith, that feels like a large plate of b*llocks and chips.
  18. He's been my favourite Saints player since before League 1 days. Delighted and at times surprised he stuck with us, delighted and not surprised at all that he made such an accomplished first start in a competitive international. Keep 'im Koeman.
  19. Koeman you Reds. Ronnie! Oi! Ronnie! Oi! Ronnie Ronnie Ronnie! Oi Oi Oi!
  20. Gutted about Sherwood. Apart from that, not half bad. COYR.
  21. Virgil Van Dijk is a top quality name. Get him on the bus.
  22. Who gives one. He's the past. Looking to the future.
  23. If it's not Koeman I think we should make some placards, organise a march, walk down to St Marys, shout a few slogans and then go to the pub. Who's in?
  24. Loving the way the focus is shifting from 'the board are rubbish they're letting him go' to 'the board are rubbish they're making him stay'. FFS
  25. There was certainly no love lost in that tackle Brian. An early 'welcome back' to St Marys from Victor Wanyama. And an early bath for the big Kenyan.
