It's all about opinions isn't it, but mine is that JRod is head and shoulders above Hooper. My Burnley supporting mate says he's genuine class and the best player he's seen in a Burnley shirt for 20 years - although admittedly they've been sh1t for much of that time . My only fear about the deal is that he's a real home boy and it may be that he'd much rather stay in the north-west and if someone else comes in he'd take it. But if that is the case, then it's probably better we don't sign him in the first place.

And East Africa used to be British - ie Kenya, Tanzania. French-speaking is West Africa - Ivory Coast etc. Les might want to invest in an atlas.

This is a very fair point. A lot of people were saying Adkins hadn't been tested in the transfer market, did he have what it takes to find those to push us on. Apart from that brown paper bag he must have received from Iago Falque's Dad, he got it spot on with the three mentioned above. They can all play a role next season too.

And a little bit more Schadenfreude - if we fail to go up I'll look back on that Norris 95th minute freakshow, and the image of our defence and midfield frozen to the spot watching him, as the turning point.
