  1. This loss doesn't change a lot. We expected to lose and personally I expected Cardiff to get something. If at the end of the Spurs game we are within 3 points of Cardiff I would take that now.
  2. If we stay up it will be because of Hasenhuttl.
  3. Undisputable player of the season, whatever happens from here. The key will be keeping him next season (assuming we stay up of course).
  4. Its between Saints and Cardiff for the third spot. Yes other teams are struggling as well but realistically hard to look past us or them. Doubly annoying they have taken 25% of their points against us.
  5. A Cardiff win would make Fulham a 100% must win or relegation is a hell of a lot closer. No way we will pick up anything from the Spurs and Utd games.
  6. Whats the issue with Lemina? He struggled with a painful injury (clearly affecting his performances around Christmas) then had surgery, as he would have been advised and is currently recovering from that. Frustrating for him to miss so many games but not sure what he has done wrong?
  7. I think he will be in the mix for the Brighton game. The only good part about having a break is it gives a chance for him and Ings to get back fit. I would only risk Ings for the Spurs game if he is totally right.
  8. He has largely been converted to a CB anyway.
  9. If we stay up then I would imagine is very, very likely that Gallagher would leave in the summer.
  10. In the current six game form table we are 9th but the problem is Burnley are 5th, Newcastle 11th and Cardiff 13th. Even bigger problem, before Arsenal away, is the last 3 game form table: Cardiff - 5th Burnley - 8th Newcastle - 10th Saints - 16th These 3 games were supposed to be the ones that hauled us to virtual safety but we ****ed it up unfortunately.
  11. IMO its a shootout between us and Cardiff. Burnley have turned the corner. Newcastle and Brighton have a great run of fixtures. Palace are solid If Cardiff pick up 4 or 6 points from their next two home games then we will be in a very poor position. Fulham at home is an absolute must win and if they somehow do have a revival then it would be a disaster for us.
  12. As expected but no Ings in the latest training pictures. Doubt we will see him before Brighton, which should give him time to have fully rested his hammy. The Watford game being postponed could help in that regard, although hopefully we will realise this time that he cannot play midweek games.
  13. It can easily be argued that our striker options overall are bottom 3 during the times Ings is unavailable - if Redmond is excluded. Noticeable the impact Zohore made from the bench against us, and Crouch the week before. Our sub options are dire. To answer the RH question - he clesrly wanted a striker and for a good portion of the window he expected one...
  14. Yes. Why would one game make their league form worse? Can Brighton's league form even get worse?
  15. If Gallagher isn't getting starts ahead of Long or Austin then its time to move him on.
  16. Why, its one game?
  17. Yes Obafemi has missed big chances, but it shows his movement is good to be in the positions to miss. I can hardly recall Long actually having chances to miss of late. That said, if any game suits Long then its one like this.

    Mr Gao....

There is not a single positive thing that has been driven from this takeover - zero evidence that it 'takes us forward' as was promised at the time. The longer it goes without comment from Gao, the stranger it gets. A dark cloud over the club, no suprise its been poor on the pitch with such a lack of clarity off it.
  19. Totally this. JWP over a long time has been moaned on here but I can't recall an overly negative reaction during a game that was anywhere near the humiliation Redmond must have felt at Wembley - and on other occassions.
  20. What those moronic Saints fans did was very poor, regardless of anything else. Obviously low intelligence people but still.
  21. Graziano Pelle had a slight case of this as well, although it was right at the start of his time here and wasn't as bad as what happened to NR either.
  22. Is there a greater Saints example of a player turning their career around at Saints than Nathan Redmond? This time last year he wasn't even being picked in a squad of a truely dross team. Had just been booed off the pitch at an away game at Wembley which would have been totally shattering. This year he has been, without doubt, our player of the season and has largely been excellent in a below average team. Took the initiative this summer to get really sharp and focused when most modern players would just seek to move on. Really good attitude and is a leader of the team on the pitch. Without him and Hasenhuttl we would probably be where Fulham are now. Should we lock him up and stop him training because if he picks up an injury we are in trouble? To answer my own question, in recent times I can only think of Kelvin Davis, but I think Redmond had more factors against him. Can anyone recall others?
  23. Looks like an Academy trip with a sprinkling of first team pros a.k.a our squad. Bertrand not there (yet) by the look of it, although hardly a suprise given what happened to his partner.
  24. Whilst people will mention Burnley, Brighton, Palace, Newcastle I think its essentially between us and Cardiff for the final relegation spot. This week has been an absolute killer for us.
  25. Newcastle playing well. Look decent. Wolves sluggish tonight.
