  1. good post. My only fear is whether we are good enough and confident enough to attack the better sides. Sitting back wont work, so maybe its a no brainer
  2. did we play four at the back at all during preseason?
  3. why on earth does Gabbi not start ahead if Austin?

    Vestergaard

couldn't quite tell if he had any pace whatsoever?
  5. mucm much better
  6. Teams that are utter **** as we were last season don't tend to turn it around in a summer. My expectations were so low coming into the season, but even I had hoped we'd snap at the heals of Burnley and at least look solid. We are nothing like that and it goes without saying that we give the ball away cheaply and offer little threat. A lot of improvement needed in the second half and beyond.
  7. how are we going to do that? Redmond does not create all that much, Armstrong is a Davis type, busy but not someone that beats a man and Austin is a tap in merchant?
  8. getting murdered still at set pieces. anyone see any difference from last season at all? Hiding poor CBs by using three and as a result sacrificing numbers in midfield and attacking threat. Why by a CB and not play 4 at the back?
  9. slow starts but not conceding is OK. We usally get tired though due to chasing down lost possession.
  10. good stuff again. Nice cross from Armstrong who has been bright
  11. holding his position perhaps as seen us cut apart at the back
  12. better play from Saints gong forward. No lack of effort.
  13. Austin falls over well. Only thing that is releaving the pressure
  14. we are using so much energy try to get the ball back after giving it away. Got to get more control of the game in midfield.
  15. torn to bits again. WTF.
  16. great header for Lemina. Nice to see us winning a few headers before that too. Better.
  17. handy cork getting an early yellow
  18. defence ripped apart again...could be two down.
  19. pretty poor start. giving the ball away a lot.
  20. hope you are right as every team below us gives us a chance but Newcastle finished 10th with 44 points. 5 more wins than we managed. 11 better goal difference. They finished the season well, which usually helps the following season.

what on earth makes you think fans wont get behind him?

relaxed and fully behind him. I think I said some thing along the lines of I hope he shines in an earlier post. Doesn't mean I can't question a signing. Or more to the point the deal, because in pure footballing terms I don't actually know if he is any good. He's been sat on a physical table for three years, so it's hard to come to any conclusions. Returning to the deal, if a pure loan wasn't available then look elsewhere. was anyone else really interested. Felt like a buyers market to me. By the way, I presume you were telling everyone to relax and get behind Carillo in January?
  23. saints cardiff Huddersfield. Fulham to also struggle. Brighton to exceed expectations. Burnley to fall back a bit.

If we can create chances...why the hell didn't we spend the cash on someone to create them for Gabbi and Austin. Both seem more than capable finishers to me.

Don't understand people being angry, however We've spunked so much cash, allowing real talent leave and replacing with ****e. That bothers people. Does that not bother you? Does the Carrillo deal not leave you berwildred? How about signing an injured Boufal? What about giving Forster an extension after playing ****? Fans are wondering if the powers that be know what the **** they are doing. Signing players is tough, but we seem to make so many errors these days, it's little wonder fans think we could have done better here. A loan deal makes sense. See how he does then sign him.
