What do you mean exactly by half arsed? Pardew's job and reputation in on the line. He will be doing everything possible to get the best squad assembled. Are you suggesting those above him aren't supporting him?

They have Lee Camp so are certainly not looking for a No 1 keeper. If they are looking at anyone it would be Lambert.

the lack of pre season games means when he is `fit' its going to be another 4 or 5 games before he is match sharp. Such is life. Maybe he would fail a medical should someone come in for him at last minute.

If they get him then Tyson won't be required to play left midfield. I'm not sure Davis especially wants him to leave but if he wants to go they would probably want there money back.

Nigel Doughty is worth around £140m. I'm not sure how they could be in financial trouble. Unless they sign Wittingham Tyson won't be allowed to leave. They had six strikers last year and Billy Davis wanted them all. They won't allow players to leave unless the squad is topped up. He cost them about £700,000 I think, and they will probably want their money back. Is i8t a buyers market, I'm not sure.

The stats on CM are supplied by fans of each club so they can provide a very rough idea of a players attitributes. Who those specific fans are and how good their `eye' is for a player I'm not sure.

League 1 is a bloody long way from the Premiership. I'd of thought he would score a few at this level. He got 15 in the Premiership in his second season at the skates.
