This is why we need to establish the single transferable vote system on this forum. This poll is an utter shambles and everyone involved is a disgrace. AVB please.

No Emery. Board must go. What a Di ck. Emery will regret this decision.

I see that mentions us as a destination but no one else (like Milan). Thank god all the papers are lazy lying scumbags otherwise I'd start to get excited.

You are right. Last year was not really a meltdown and actually this one isnt. That is unless we appoint Eddie Howe then I will EFFING WELL LOSE MY SH IT MAN AND LOSE IT BIG. But I think we're stuck with it for now - we've had other recurring themes on this forum and meltdown is just another one. No need to wet the bed about it you bedwetting meltdowning meltwetter.

Leicester seem to like a release clause.
-
Not really - he was never going to be allowed just to run his contract down, and if we had done that you'd have been the first to moan, probably for an entire season. When people, and plenty do, say about players and managers 'why didn't we tie him down earlier' - well this is what that can look like. That said, no one is forcing him to sign for Everton - he had a contract on the table from us.

Not appointing a 62 year old grizzled veteran is hardly a new direction for us. Younger managers with something to prove was the old direction.
-
I agree with this - being popular with all the players all the time is not particularly important. In fact if a manager is generally popular then it's likely he is a pushover and will fail. Bit of a red herring really. Some players will hate the new guy too.

Yeah, but that hair. Exceptional.

Made me laugh.

Successful enough in Russia, winning the league and Cup and okay in the Champions League. He's won the Europa League, and did excellently at Spurs and was a gnats away from finishing fourth. More points than Poch got. His availability - he's a free agent - as much as his track record means he is a compelling candidate. Although you can see him here, can't you? He's like Pochettino and Pardew blended into one Portuguese peacock - half footballing scholar half preening egotist.

You realise the song wasn't written specifically for Koeman don't you? Personally I hope he falls into some kind of threshing machine before Wednesday.

A cursory comparison of the trophy cabinets of Arsenal and Chelsea demonstrate this perfectly but still people utterly obsessed with tie him down tie him down tie him down. It's like management strategy run by Miss Whiplash.

One of the main reasons I really don't want Howe is because of this very thing. SFC will be the best job Eddie Howe will ever get. He ain't stepping stoning nowhere. I want our next manager to use us a stepping stone to a bigger club - because that means he'll be bloody good and if he ends up at a bigger club for loads more money it means he's done a brilliant job. Win/Win. Stepping stone me right up and let's make our next two-year boss a ruddy good one.

We get these "leaks" the day before the fixtures come out and they are invariably completely wrong every single year.

Pellegrini doesn't sound remotely plausible. Just not our kind of appointment. We'll appoint some youngish buck with hopefully a decent tailor. So AVB or Paul Tisdale.

Villa finished sixth three times in a row with a decent manager in charge, and made some decent progress in the Europa League. They were challenging for top four there or thereabouts in all three of those seasons. Sensible, successful. I suspect Everton will find out that level of achievement is tough to keep going season after season and it's a gaping money pit of doom. Villa also saw attendance numbers go down in their third sixth place season as fans got a sense of entitlement and boredom and sense of failure to not "get to the next level" (bit of that here these days). Sixth became zilch. Lerner started to think "well, fu ck that then you ungrateful Brummie pri cks". Cue living within their means and I believe he appointed Alex McCleish entirely for a laugh. We shall see how long Everton's sugar daddy can stay on this particularly unforgiving treadmill. Din Everton fans already think they are sky rocketing to the Champions League but they might be disappointed to find £1bn don't go that far.

I want a dapper manager with good hair.
-
I don't particularly want Howe. Moyes is cast iron solidity but pretty much guarantees us three consecutive 10th place finishes before we all implode with collective arse-aching boredom. Basically AVB or FDB or I top myself. We need a manager with a three initial name FFS.

A million little pieces it'll be smashed into. A million little Scott Dann shaped pieces.
-
That's one hell of a leap. SFC have engineered the entire thing now and helpless Ronald is in fact the victim forced to hoover up six million quid a year from Everton against his will? Great stuff. PS. Loads of managers and players quit clubs and are then subsequently hated by the fans left behind. It is not unique to SFC in any way shape or form.

What by calling you a din? That's up to him.
